Stacking Cost Reduction is the problem, not AoE damage.

Like the title says, the issue with AoE damage being OP isn't that it's too high, it's that you can stack cost reduction to make your ultimates nearly free, hell the Vampire ult cost can be brought down to about 10, allowing you to keep it up permanently.

A player NOT moving away from AoE SHOULD die, simple as that.

Even PvEers should get this, The #1 rule of raiding since basically forever is "Don't stand in the fire".

Too much logic. One skill is able to be abused atm so we need an AoE nerf across the board!

I say, remove all AoE skills! Period.... It's basically what they seem to want to do with a cap anyway...

Honestly now, the vamp ult doing 800 damage (if you stand in it for the full duration) wouldn't be so bad if you could just kill the guy afterwards.

Being able to keep the Ult up forever making the guy invincible is what needs to be fixed.

Stacking cost reduction is smart. It requires some very specific set gear to achieve. If you find this out of line, MAYBE the devs should be encouraged to bring other set pieces in line by creating other ways to be clever and do something you couldn't do otherwise, rather take things away (that already have a build in hard counter, silver bolts!!!) from a game that is played for fun and not for profit.


Why do people want to play games of might and magic where you can't do powerful but preventable things? What's the point of being mighty and magical??

The Vampire Ultimate can wipe an 20-30 group solo. What has been said is because its so cheap it can be stacked have it running 10 times and rather than 800 damage think 8000 damage to everyone in the AOE - coupled with mist form that guy is almost un-killable. Its people who abused that which will kill AOE for everyone else.

Ok. So let's say the vampire with the right class and gear and vampire stage can keep it up indefinitely. Let's pretend the cost is 0. How many ticks, or seconds does it take to kill somebody equal level with overcharged max health? ild imagine long enough to encourage a response, but I havnt done the math. I'm pretty sure it's as leathal as the burning oil, which I don't think needs changing.


Regarding mist form, vampires healing from their ultimate, or even at all while in mist form sounds like a bug. The skill says invulnerability to healing and cc. That should be reported as such and fixed.

A vampire chaining mist form while using its ultimate isn't getting more ultimate, and is asking to be silver bolted by one of the two skill sets from any of the 10-20 or 100 people they are fighting.

The Vampire ult deals about 200 damage per second to everyone in the area, meaning 1000 total over the 5 seconds. Lets assume 20% crit added (1200 damage over 5sec). Add spell resist and health regen and it'd still take MORE THAN TEN SECONDS TO KILL EVEN A LEVEL 10 PLAYER.

Like i've said before, if you don't react to that and just stand in crap, you deserve to die.

Dudis, vamp ulti does about 600 damage per second(cause there is more than 1 active). And it's not like vamp is standing in one place either.

I tried retreating manouver to get ppl out of this insane BS, but it just eating stamina. I tried Purge, it helped. Purge let a guy live 10 sec longer lolz. Not to mention the cost of those abilities makes me support only because i cant do anything without magicka and stamina. not even roll

Before you QQ about how vamps should be better than others, how good is the werewolf compared to vampire? Ohh lol ohhh...... Vampire is WAAAAAY too overpowered so STFU and stop defending your OP craps
And if its work as intended, well... this will be vampire battle online, because all will be vampire who want to pvp, and only small grps of nonvampire players, who will give up pvp anyway, or become lolvamps too.

Try dealing with an emperor Vamp that does that. can wipe over 300 in a single swipe.

So 6 people including the emperor beat 6 people not including an emperor? Well, that's clearly not WAD, I heard they wanted the Emperor to be a major debuff. Oh wait...
Also, you can break roots or use certain skills to make yourself or you whole group immune... so really, you shouldn't have been sat in an AoE regardless, and complaining about root + AoE just says you didn't counter properly.

If he chases you it means he's not chasing your buddies or vice verca and honestly if you're two people or more, at least one of you should probably have some heals.

His big dump is now gone and you can start fighting normally.
