What to use as second skill for Ardent Flame & 1H?

I like to mainly use ardent flame and a one handed weapon and a shield, I put out a decent amount of damage because most of my attributes are in magic. Im level 29 and have gotten a ton of skyshards and skill points to the point where I have excess. I tried the destruction staff of flame, it was alright but I put out way more damage and last much longer with my main dps build. I would do another 1h and a shield but I always seem to get one really good weapon that swapping skills usually downgrades my weapon and shield for skills, i wish you could change just skills and not the entire weapon setup. I also tried 1H it was really good but it didn't really do much over what I already have. Any recommendations on what would go well with what I have without going nuts on spreading points all over the place? I would like to also be able to tank but am unsure what would be the best secondary setup on top of that. I wish i had my whole character build but I'm away from home right now.
