Werewolf/Vampire Questions

I am currently leveling to my first 50, and I'm currently at level 24. I'm sort of playing this game by ear and not really doing tons of research as I want to play the game on my own time and own style.

However, I don't know the appeal of being a Werewolf or a Vampire? What benefits do becoming one or the other have? Also, without buying a bite from someone, how does one become one or the other?

I know this probably sounds incredibly noobish, but I'm simply curious.

I recently became a Werewolf, sadly its far weaker for me to be in werewolf form than my actual Orc form. As i lose all my armour/self heal abilities etc. Add that to the fact that almost every single person in PvP has a bow with poison arrow and well, you die very quickly. Vampire on the other hand, seems incredibly good in comparison.

There's a place in Bangkorai where you could get bit , place is called Viridian Woods and the other is Pelin Graveyard . Those are the only two places I know of , but lately the Bloodfiends hadn't been spawning , either that or the players killing them to monopolize on the bite .

Check online. There are a few site which list where all of the spawn points are. It isn't every vampire / werewolf which can infect you, only certain special spawn types.

Be aware that both give you special abilities, but come with special weaknesses as well. Vampires, as undead, are weak to the Fighter's Guild skills in PvP, and they also take bonus damage (+50%) from fire. Many vampires will say this is trivial due to the skill tree, but I have no experience and I am not so sure 50% is a trivial amount of damage. Werewolves, as mentioned above, take the same bonus damage against poison instead of fire, and have the added complication that they have to transform in order to use their skills.

If you want to PvP I recommendto take a vamp.
Nearly noone uses Silver Bolts so you will not face the big disadvantage they have.

Werewolf on the other hand...
Everytime I transfor into WW there is a moment of silence...
Then everyone simply nukes the crap out of me.

Simply fact is that WW are very rare in PvP and everyone wants a peace of you.
Transorming into WWis kind of a big red arrow above your head.

I agree with Hodorius, with one exception; Most of the DragonKnight line is fire damage, so Dragon Knights would, I expect, give Vampires a rough time.

Werewolves are just easier to see. Hard to miss the big ears and covered in fur thing.

Glurin

One other downside to werewolves. Your ultimate keeps resetting, and it takes a ton of ultimate in order to transform. In a group dungeon, I can usually manage to collect just enough for a transformation shortly before the final boss. Meaning it's a one shot deal and will take up the valuable ultimate slot in the meantime. When I'm questing, doesn't matter how much I collect because I lose it all talking to the NPC for the next phase.

This is especially damaging to werewolves since they have to transform in order to use any of their advantages.

WW you need to transform to tap the potential. vamp you just kinda have the skills there. That is the big dif to me i have both and in pvp my Ww gets nuked by poison arrow the moment i change.
