Resto staff normal attacks

The normal attacks form the resto staff scale off stamina but is that just the melee component of the attack? if I do a normal attack from range is that still benefiting from stamina?

Resto staff is entirely magicka based, stamina doesn't factor into it

Sorry but you are wrong. The resto staff normal and heavy attack scale off stamina. This is a fairly well known fact. Just google resto staff normal attack damage

It doesn't matter what the rest staff scales on.It should only be used to get you 10 percent mana back after ccompleting a heavy attack. If you want damage and healing then put some magic a dmg a bill on your bar. Or simply weapon swap rest staff is for healing.

The resto staff is for whatever you want it to be. If you have lots of stamina then it will do pretty good damage plus the heavy attacks will heal you and regen resources. I also use syphoning Attacks so spamming normal attacks gives me even more resources back and successful crits also heal me. So all in all normal attacks with a resto staff are very useful for damage, resources and survivability
