Veteran Rank 1 was fun, 2 is a bit much...

Vet rank 1 was a bit challenging but very fun imo but as soon as I hit 2 the hardcore mode ramped up considerably. I understand it's not supposed to be a cake walk and it's an MMO yada yada yada but it's PvE for #@!@ sake.

Maybe it's the area I'm in or the fact that Armor stopped dropping for me but the amount of enemies grouped up is ludicrous. They can do with their game as they please but it's gonna turn alot of people off very quickly.

This isn't a doom gloom I'm quitting thread just an observation. Some people are gonna say "it's not hard for me" but I'm mostly soloing content and the HUGE repair bill is getting old quickly. I did stray from my usual weapon/skill set up so maybe that's the problem.

Anyone else notice this?

I can't wait as I'm nearing this point, if it is hard I hope it stays hard.. Those that can't figure it out don't deseve to level.. It's call deviding the rookies from the pros

I just got into Deshaan last night and haven't noticed any higher difficulty in the first hub, but perhaps it gets tougher the further you get into the zone?

If you're talking about the zombie room ... you're not supposed to fight those. There's a masking scent bottle that makes them neutral to you. I watched someone run past the scents that the quest points out to you and try to AoE the whole room... and fail miserably.

Might also be a good time to swap out any non-VR gear you have and retool the skillset.

Really you think that only pro's should be able to see all content provided by the makers of this game that they paid good money to play. What world do you live in. Everyone should be able to see and complete all content. vet ranks are part of the game and levels not some superhard dungeon on hardmode that only the best can complete.

I cant say much to v2, but I find v1 quite doable. The only problem I have is if mobs are respawning close to me during a fight... I hate when this occurs. I hope they will change it so that mobs spawn only when there is no player in their aggro range already in combat.

Guess you didn't know you can make up to what is it 8 chars on any alliance... So if vet rank is to tough for you then what's stopping you from making a level one on the other alliance.... Would take less time to clear than it would vet rank.. Some people enjoy a challenge not babies who cry to get a game nerfed.

So you are saying me being able to make 7 other lvl 50 vet 1 hero's I will be able to everything in the game? It has been said Craglorn will be V10-V12 so if I have 8 V1 hero's how will that help me see the whole game. Like I stated before the only thing that should be "TO HARD FOR THE AVERAGE PLAYER" is HARDMODE dungeons cause every player no matter the skill should get to experience everything the creators have sold to them.

Hmm, I didn't realize leveling was where the big boys came out to strut their stuff. So it's not dungeons, raids, or World Firsts. No, the "I'm a better human being than the other guy" starts around leveling.

@Nirn. I'm not sure what you are seeing that's making it feel or seem more difficult if it's just plain questing and not dungeons. I didn't really seem any big jump in skill requirements. I did most of V2 and V3 in V1 gear, the stat jumps between them isn't all that much. The only thing you'll see is that becomes more important to not stand in their special attacks and don't over pull

It must of been the particular area I was in because I moved on and it's doable as long as I'm smart about it. (solo play) I don't want them to dumb the game down but some people aren't into hardcore mode especially in PvE.

I just hit vet 2 and some of v1 and now v2 is rather hard.
I must say tough, I am just spending skill points in new skills and trying new rotations and sort of making it harder for myself.
I played most the first playthrough using one build, now it is rather cool to try everything out on my Sorc.
Some rotations totally fail but I have soloed some World Bosses at V1 level using skills I never used before.
Then I come to a mob and totally get owned : /
I think I'm still learning the possibilities of my skills and there use with each other.

Lol, what world do you live in? Oh wait, I bet you use to be a World of Fail player, didn't you? Yeah, this game doesn't just hand you stuff. You actually have to work for it. Go back to your carebear/casual MMOs. This game should stay the way it is, where only the elite can achieve the highest ranks. Either group up and get your scrub self carried through content, or sit down and shut up.

Oh boy, another hardcore gangsta that likes to invoke WoW to make some pointless argument about how hardcore their new game of choice is. It's odd, because ESO has handed me all kinds of loot. Hell, I got a epic sword just for doing a quest. I don't even have to be good at the game and I already have the mats to craft me a Legendary! Wait..did I just say I have the mats to craft a LEGENDARY!!!! I haven't even done a group dungeon yet!!!!! OMG ESO is soooooo hardcore !!

Some of you clearly don't know what a hardcore game is, if you think ESO and it's Veterans ranks is anything close to being "elite"
  • Cassandre

Yeah, everyone is able to craft a "legendary" item so early in the game. But lot of ppl is still crying coz even lvling is "too hard"... So, it seems the gear won't do the biggest part.

    Let's wait for more QQ.

Imo, THAT is the way to succeed in the game. And it's wayyyy better to complete a quest after some fails, but finding some better solution to do it, than waiting from ZOS to nerf it.

This game is not hardcore, it's an easy linear themepark. Go try a sandbox like Mortal Online. That's more towards hardcore.

Honestly didn't notice a considerable difference in veteran content beyond v1, if you know how to play your class you should still be able to complete a large majority of content. I've solo'd as an extremely squishy, melee Nightblade, and while I've found some quests/mobs challenging, I haven't got to the point where I needed to complain about the difficulty on the forums.

Respec, try out different builds/gear. You'll be surprised at the difference some skills/abilities or certain gear attributes make in regards to survivability etc.

Very true, I could imagine some people not even using weapon swaps.
