Shifting standard

icanhazfacemelt
Question for DKs who chose shifting standard for their dk standard morph: How exactly does it work? Does the standard follow you around automatically? Or you have to click something to shift it? If the latter, how do you find it in the middle of a crazy battle especially in pvp?

I went with Magma armor over standard for both tanking and pvp because of the damage reduction and the mobility. Especially in pvp, any good range player will kite the crap out of you so it seems like the standard will quickly become useless. Trying to see if the standard is worth a try.

In regard to how to move it I couldn't say because Standard of Might drowns out the ability to move the standard by screaming "Extra Damage!", few actually use that particular morph. I presume you just press your ultimate key again and it will move to your location.

However aside from that, Standard of Might is an unholy sucker punch spat from the sky that will absolutely shred multiple targets if used even slightly intelligently...cancel that, used even by a trained parrot.

Step 1) Make sure your ultimate is charged
    Step 2) Use Burning Talons
Step 3) Use it again after they roll dodge
    Step 4) repeat step 3
Step 5) Use Shield Charge, or Invasion, or some skill that is going to Stun them like Stone Giant or what not now that your certain your target no longer has any more pesky stamina.
Step 6) Drop the Standard of Win and feel the heat of their nerd rage as they melt.
    Step 7) Rinse and Repeat.

Thanks for the detailed write up man. Will give it a try. In pve, bosses stay more or less in one place anyway.
