I hit the Armour Cap with crafted Iron Armour at Level 7. As for Stamina, most Weapon Skills use Stamina so if you are fighting with dodges or blocking you tend to be just whacking them with the weapon or casting class spells (don't call them Skills they only use Magic FFS). I thought the nerfing of bash was ok from the POV of making tanks (tough to kill but low damage as opposed to Glass Hammers) but characters are not really tanks or glass hammers in this game ATM IMO.

Where Light Armour is concerned I hit the Magicka Regen Cap just as fast on my Sorcerer so maybe they aren't interested in people wearing un-mixed Armour.
Oooh look, lot's of Butterflies! Wait! Butterflies? Get out of here Sheo, stop bugging me!

What heavy armor needs is a pssive that increases "crit mitigation". That's the #1 thing missing.

As it stands, it's the #1 stat I look for on my heavy armor enchants. Light and medium guys have to go for +armor bonuses, I don't.

That said, I do often use the medium armor tank ability instead o the heavy armor one, the dodge chance is superior to putting me closer to the armor cap.

That brings me to the other thing that needs to be done to heavy armor. The active ability needs to be flat damage reduction, 20% or so, not extra spell/armor points.
