I'm really not sure which one of these to Morph to - does shards knock all 3 targets down? does leash work even on boss daedra/undead?

i guess leash costs twice the stamina - for each activation. shards is the clear better choice. this skill really needs competition, probably posted that already.

Shards will hit 3 targets if they are not daedra/undead. It will not knock down the other 2 targets even if they are daedra/undead. Leash only works on daedra/undead. Most dungeon bosses are immune to all forms of cc. Shards is the winner by a landslide for anything other than a tank and even than leash is still not that great.

Its kind of sad to note that shards out dps' all bow abilities even against none daedra/undead.

Shards is three hits. The main target (assuming undead/daedra) is knocked prone, same as usual. The other two take half damage, and are never knocked prone from those hits. Leash might have a use is you are playing strictly melee and have no other way to close a gap (DK Chains, NB Teleport strike, Storm Calling teleport) but as stated above, it is only effective against undead/daedra.
I'd take Shards every time, it is useful against all kinds of foes, and especially in PvP against Vampires (and werewolf, if you take that Fighter's Guild passive)
Iron Shadowscale: VR10 EP Greatsword-slinging, stamina focused, werewolf, self-healing Argonian sorcerer.
Sensible build? No. Hilariously fun build? Yup!

Silver leash is great to pull undead/daedric bosses across lava pools in order to watch all the bots chase and burn to death. Other than that, go with shards.

I actually use the silver leash on my NB bow bar. You don't have to activate the pull and the window for it is only about 4sec. I see it as kind of a cd, until I'm ready to yoink the mob over and finish it with a killers blade.

When you pop it a second time for the yank, does it consume magicka a second time?

It uses stamina, but yeah it does and the cost is kinda high, which is why I save it till the end. They're actually reducing the cost of the pull in the upcoming patch.
