Final Boss Spoilers Molag Bal isnt the biggest threat.

Its those stupid things he summons down. Everything is going fine but hurr hurr titans with homing attacks out of nowhere. Thats something I cannot stand about this game. Every projectile is homing how am I supposed to beat him when I literally ant dodge it?

EDIT: I'm also a vampire.
EDIT2: I beat him a while back so this thread is kind of null. Blocking only worked for so long, they spammed ranged attacks I couldnt do anything but dodge. I Had to lure Molag Bal down the staircase and when he summoned the titans, I had them get all bunched up and then I charged in with my vamp ult (with the healing morph)

Break line of sight by hiding behind the rock structures. I mean, there is a reason they are breakable.....use them & ensure you work out your path to them as you go.

It doesnt work, they still throw them and it still hits me. This would be totally different if I actually had the option to dodge them by strafing. This is literally the dumbest thing ever.

The greatest mistake here is trying to AOE them down. This will not work, titans will overwhelm you with their attacks. Instead, you should kill them one by one. I managed to do so without any noticeable HP loss. Remember that you are buffed and your main attack is extremely powerful.

What I absolutely hate about it is that sometimes their projectiles (not necessarily titans', this applies to all mobs) literally go through rocks and structures.

I beat it a while ago. I did some tactic I saw on youtube where you lure him down the stair case so the Titans dont instantly agro to you. I also saved up my vamp up and charged in them all. (I had the healing morph so I was pretty safe). After that, it was just a war of attrition.

Actually, you can dodge projectiles using... dodge roll.

I've managed to avoid being hit by dodging while projectile was in the middle of its way to me.

Try it with some other mobs first as it don't work 100% of time (maybe because of ping?)

It doesnt work for me. I can dodge every other projectile just not Titan attacks.

@Elyna, try to use blocking, if you didn't already. Maybe that will help.
I don't know what to advise (except harsh things like reroll your stats/skillpoints).

Want to know something ridiculously easy? BLOCK! Blocking sends the projectile of Titans back to themselves, killing them without you getting damaged. Seriously, try it. Molag Bal fight took me like 2 minutes total and all I ever had to do was block the Titan spit and run out of his AoEs.

Block or Dodge, pick one of those Strafing or hiding won't work. You can also kill them very quickly in your empowered state. I don't think they were up for 10 seconds when I did it.

They die in like 2-3 hits each with the main attack. They also do a pitiful amount of damage. You should be able to burn all of them down in around 30 seconds. don't use abilities just your light attack.

Hold block, it creates that super funky bubble shield and reflects all the Titans fireballs back at them.. you take zero damage and they all kill themselves in 10 seconds..

Here's a hint for you guys.... That is if your talking about the multiple titans he spawns. One word.. Block.

Molag's summons went down easy for me. He was the tricky one.

Hold down both mouse buttons...the reflected attack kills them in 2-3 hits, no effort.

Kite Molag with bow, resto staff, destro staff...run in circles.

Not too difficult.

Molag was a tough fight but it was fun. And so was the ending.

I feel like this isn't made clear enough that you can do this.
Yes there's a new animation while you block as a hint but the truth is the game trains you to never expect to be able to block a magic projectile 100% of the time.

Thus what's supposed to be an epic final fight degenerates into a silly game of trial and error.

I don't really get why we got this softlock system either. They were so close to making a MMO which gets the hell away from ye olde tab-target but then falls one step short.

Its not like it can't be done in an open-world MMO either. Black Desert, Defiance (although that is a TPS), and heck to an extent GW2 all manages it.

This is the hardest guy to kill for a caster.. OMG really... For a Toilet paper wearing Sorc this shouldn't be so hard. I have died like over 100 times and there is no way to get past his mobs. I have the kiting down for him but his adds are the problem. I have tried every spec possible and still the same out come..DEAD. I feel this will make a lot of people quit the game because they cant get past this guy to progress in the next level or zone. What do u guys think or any ideas. Im a high elf sorc

Seems like the timing is off on the animations. Once you see them cast, it's already been done so you have to roll early.
