I want to build a sorcerer that can melee (preferable with a sword). Is this possible. If so, how? please help

Valmond✭✭✭Go for Health/Stamina instead of Magicka.
Use medium armor for passives.
Weapon skills for damage, bound armor for protection and Surge for extra dps.
something like this?
Sword and Shield for single target dps.
Dual Wield for aoe's (using whirlwind to regen stamina, and dark magic cc with passive for increased crit and healing).
Possibly switch Restraining Prison to Volcanic Rune (mages guild morph) to remove damage instead of healing it in some cases.0
