Crafting set bonus on 2H weapons

the_falcorrwb17_ESO
I think that 2H weapons should count as 2 towards a set bonus.
Given that toons using 1H plus shield or dual wielding could potentially have 3x full 3-set bonuses (7 armor plus 2 weapons) then this gives them an advantage.

What do you think?

I hadn't even thought about this. It would certainly be nice if it counted as two, e.g. 2H melee weapons, destruction staves, restoration staves, and bows... but somehow I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I think it is not that easy, because then you have to additionally balance the fact that a 2h wielder only needs half the tempers and half the enchantments compared to the rest to get 2 slots towards the set bonus. There needs to be some more mechanics to even the gaps out between 2h and 1h/shield/dualwield

    "Waiter!"
"Yes sir, what can I get for you? "
"I'd like whatever that gentleman over there is eating".
"Excellent choice. I'll be right back."

*after a few moments the patron becomes impatient and flags the waiter down.*

"Yes sir, what can I get for you? "
"What in God's name is taking so long?"
"The chef's almost done preparing your meal sir."
"What? I told you I wanted what he's eating. Not something similar. Now be quick about it! It looks like he's nearly finished!"

seems valid to me, something needs to be done with dual wielders getting an extra slot for crafting set bonueses

With Jewelry you can have 2 5-piece Set bonuses and a 2 Piece set too. Deal with it.

Agreed, I do two crafted sets on my characters, and when I do staff and bows I miss out on a bonus, it's not crippling.

Not the same at all, I have different bonuses, and the difference in the weapons and skill lines was balanced without crafted sets in mind.

Your analogy is a false syllogism.

I agree with the OP. It would be nice to have the extra piece for the set bonus.
