used to be in skyrim there was a penalty for it, towns would boot the stinkers out on sight. should bring some of those downsides back to the game

Making food/drinks not give a buff to vampires perhaps. Not sure about Werewolves.. i mean hard to really detect one of those unless the moons out.

Well, guards DID say, if you were a werewolf ... 'Is that ... fur ... coming out of your ears?'

I wish my toon didn't suffer from SPS. "Khajiit always have fur in ears. Is what khajiit have! FUR! Why khajiit not have fur in ears?"

Those weaknesses you mention OP are not simply covered over with enchantments to increase fire resist or whatever because doing so is at the expense of other enchantments you might want to use.

I for one have no intention of being either a vamp or a wolf. I like my character the way she is and so far have not had much of an issue with dealing with vamps/wolves in PvP.

People who don't notice aren't looking. How can you comment on balance if you are not regularly going up against them in 1v1 or small group PvP. Its hard to see when zerging but very clear in small scale. There just aren't enough downsides.

How come silver bolts does not work on Vampires?

Silver Bolts do work on Vampires. In fact, though I have not tested it personally, a hit from the silver bolts should knock a vampire on his butt. Vampires are undead. In addition, the other passives, like bonus damage to Undead / Daedra should also be getting applied.

At Fighter's Guild level 6 you can take a passive which further extends all of the Figher Guild passives and abilities to include Werewolves as well.

When such a huge part of the population are either vampire or werewolf, I would say there is a problem. You should be one of those races for RP or flavour purposes, not because they are better than every other possible choice.

There advantages to the choice should we outweighed by equally bad disadvantages, so that people are as likely choose them as not.

Is that occured to you, perhaps most people are vampires or want to be vampires because not their 'superior skill advantages' but they love vampires? (or some people that for to me no clear reasons werewolves)

Skill options are mostly irrelevent when you can only use 5, (or supposedly 10, but its not work that way lets admit it, i do have few same skills in my both bar, same as many people do, specialy summons or skills that grants nice passive buffs when slotted or activated, so its not even 10 with multiple bars) skills in one said time.
You make up your skill order, you test your their synergy between them, and put them to your bar for best result.

Have you talk to those flocks of people that want to be vampire or werewolf, have you asked WHY do they want it xD? You people that whines about this, are you sure that you do not want 'too much' vampire or werewolf because you want them to be rare, so you can be one of them and show off with it =P?
Because people that genuenly doesnt care about them says so and states "let people be, let them do whatever they want or be whatever they want"

Its the era of Underworld baby =P Embrace it (or twilight. but i dont want to say twilight, so thousands of people wouldnt scream 'lame' for a second then suddenly fell silent)

Why all this 'no don't let them!' approach coming from really? Can't you satisfy without trying to destroy other people's satisfaction about a game =)? I think we all should try not to that...

A bunch of people look like Sith lords with a missing skin texture now & I'm a fire mage. I see no problem with people painting a target on their back lol.

I chose werewolf myself, in a werewolf guild. It's pretty fun to all change at once & run through a dungeon. Plus because I'm an Argonian that pesky poison weakness isn't so bad. Incidentally I'll be giving my bites away for free.
I'm a magic user but I chose werewolf because A it didn't want my Argonian to look like it has it's scale texture missing (have you seen vampire Argonians, they look so stupid) & B because werewolves are just more fun to me.

In all seriousness it's easy to see what is going to happen, people will jump on Fighter's Guild builds & dominate, ZeniMax will fix the vampire ability issues & then people will get bored of vampirism & find something else to exploit.

If Silver Bolts does not knock Vampires down on a successful hit, then it doesn't treat Vampires as undead. The only difference between hitting an undead and a non-undead is the knock-down on that ability.

Which implies that Vampires are, in fact, not affected by Fighter's Guild powers. If this is the case then I would suspect that they probably are over-powered.

I don't care about that from a PvE perspective, but I am seeing a LOT of things in game that are going to make PvP horribly unbalanced, and this is potentially one of them.

p.s.- I'm not a rabid PvP fan, but I was actually looking forward to Cyrodil in this game. The more I hear, hwoever, the more I am thinking Cyrodil isn't going to be friendly to the mass of the player base (pre-Veteran, non-Vamp/werewolf)

The question of whether this is good or bad depends on the final outcome. Will we have:
    ESO: Underworld
    or
    ESO: Twilight

The Improved Emperor's Guide to Tamriel

If you were not fortunate enough to have acquired this book and/or do not have much knowledge of the world that in which we live in; then it would be wise to actually take some time and travel the world and hit the book shelves and what not. Not trying to be sarcastic or anything but Vamps and WWs have always been a big part of the lore. Besides reading is good for the brain. :D Look at the bright side, at least we aren't a bunch of mindless zombies; though the way a lot of people play you would swear that they were actual zombies that has an endless supply of Skooma constantly rushing from Point A to Point B and not stopping to savor the Nirnroot.

If they added the "sun" damage from Skyrim to be more lethal for undead, or to make players take damage in sunlight as a Vampire, hey.

The issue there is that the vampire clans that we sprang from originate in skyrim. That clan is known to be resistant to sun light. A good upgrade would be making vampires choose an originating clan. The vampires from the morrowind clans did take sun damage but are know for their ferocity in battle, and they were stronger and faster than the vampires of other clans. So maybe as an update vampires will have to make the critical choice of being able to freely wander an mix with the living or embrace the true nature of the beast they have become.

I say bring all the vamps and werewolves. That means easier kills in PvP. I'm actually a werewolf myself. I've encountered more vamps in PvP. That mist of there's is fairly popular. Doesnt really go well though as my weapons are are fire damage and then burn pretty quickly.

Eventually that trend will wear of and you will see more normal players.
