I'll be quick, enchanting is slow and awkward
Simple suggestions
1. The act of "Enchanting" gives you XP (you know putting a glyph on your weapon, armor, jewelry).
2. Recharging a weapon gives you enchanting XP (I think this did in skyrim)
3. Allow us to Disenchant the glyph straight off of items (like random loot drops, just like disenchanting the glyph except the item is also destroyed) you could add a ("enchanted by") on items to tag them for less XP for selfies. (enchanted items with inspiration as there trait could then help your enchanting XP).
4. (Less likely but possible) add jewel crafting to Enchanting it's clear jewelry comes with "trait" system, and your not telling me my "Robust" Amber neckless naturally raises my stamina (it's likely an enchantment flavor wise) that and I don't know if jewelry has enough to stand on being its own craft and by all logic seems to make sense.
So all of these options could help players more naturally progress through enchanting as part of there play experience that way it has a more immerse and organic progression as many other professions do.
