Balance

To clarify, I´m not talking about class balance. My point is the the balance between Magicka based builds and Stamina based builds.

For me the balance in this regard is off and mainly to blame is that all class abilities are magicka based.
All the staff abilities are magicka based aswell so why bother with thinking about how to allocate your attribute points when you can just grab a staff an dump everything into magicka?
There is ofc the tank with S&B, but hey you don´t need to have any active abilities from that tree since the undaunted taunt is magicka based aswell, so you only need the passives, that beneift blocking.

Being well armored is nice to have, but since there are multiple magicka based abilities that can substitute for armor, light armor does not appear to be an issue in terms of protection.

So my question, why bother with stamina and anything but a mage style build (archers aside). If you go for stamina, you gimp your class abilities. Is there anything worthwile to do that for?
I really hope to get a good answer as I could rest easier playing the game (I´m not much of a "mage player", never was).

Well, stamina has a lot of uses. CC break, roll, block, sprint, etc., which are useful for any build.

Because stamina will scale your damage with all your light and heavy attacks with staves... even though they seem magical the damage they do is stam based

Not to mention you have the overcharge feature which will reduce all gains from stats in overcharge by 50%
