Imp, The living bomb! Volatile Familiar.

Anyone else finding Volatile Imp to be the most useful of all the summons? Just sending him in to his doom, exploding for a stun and damage. I've been going into huge groups of Mobs and just stunlocking them to death and I love it! My favourite spell. He is a living nuke! I really hope that desummoning him making him explode is intentional because I use him as a filler and to get Crystal procs and it works really well. It's the most fun spell I have too. Kind of reminds me of the Sticky launcher TF2

The damage is really good on the explosion too. It keeps up with Velocious curse far better than any of the other spells I have so far. And when you time it together and get both Curse and Imp to explode at the same time it's magical.

Would be really sad if this wasn't intentional cause the way this spell works is just great

At my level I think this would be a very expensive nuke. Low damage per magik. But it sounds very interesting for higher levels.

It's cheaper than impulse after refunds and deals more damage than any other AE in the game that isn't an ult while still having the ability to stun. Actually, here's a sad fact, at some point if they raise the magicka soft cap and keep the ability the same along with the passive it'll be the only spell where the cost is nil.
