@#$%! Potency Runes

I'm trying to level up Enchanting... problem is: the level of potency runes increases faster than I can unlock the skill to use them. So now, as a level 44 character, with enchanting at 14, I am stuck with TONS of Potency Runes I cannot use yet... but none of the lower level ones which seem to be EXTREMELY rare in the higher level zones.

Zenimax, could you please pace their distribution out better? The progression would flow better.

I'm still in Auridon and I have exactly the same problem even there. Fun thing is: in Auridon, 80% of the potency runes are higher than I can use, if I go around in Cyrodiil, i find almost exclusively the white "ta" Runes :disappointed:

    This is really annoying

Fun fact: I have the opposite problem, I only find potency runes of a lower tier I can use :( Maybe I should move on to the next zone, but there is so much left to explore

I have so many Jora & Jode lying around it's not funny. Sometimes I think I should just sell them to a vendor and use the gold to … buy the potency runes that don't exist on the market?

Well, seems like y'all have a problem that trading amongst yourselves can solve.

Did you really think that through? You believe that low-level runes should drop in high-level zones? Don't you realize that you yourself would be incredibly annoyed if that happened when you've reached a bit higher enchanting and need these high level runes? To run around in a high-level area and pick up crap runes that you could've used at level 10 but not now? :|

Actually because enchanting is different from all other proffessions (ta runes are always usefull) I found that i was missing a lot of level 3 potencies, but once i got passed that im swimming in level 4 potency, but missing ta's and jejotas. While i can use rekata, i dont want to use purples to level the skill.
They need to upgrade the amount of experience gained from exstracting random glyphs or add intricate trait to some found glyphs.
Currently the leveling curve for enchanting compared to the other crafting proffesions is waaaaay of. (+ the amount of mats. I got 50 slots in bank spend on runes..)

I agree with this. Enchanting progress is painfully slow. The only thing I can tell you is that if you are serious about getting your enchanting anywhere, you will need to spend skill points in aspect extraction, keen eye, and a hireling, be willing to find an area with runes and run around for an hour or so at a time digging them out as they respawn (also a good time to extract other ingredients from nodes), and find enchanting buddies.

My current enchanting buddy sends me whatever glyphs she gets from combat, and in exchange, I make whatever glyphs she needs in green, blue, or purple. I get a lot more glyphs than I need to make.

If you have a ton of Ta, you can also make a bunch of "burn" glyphs for another enchanter to break down, in exchange they do the same for you. Joining a craft guild like The Sidekick Order is a good resource for this option.

Also, if you aren't doing it, read every single bookshelf you find. I gained 3 levels in enchanting by just doing that one simple thing.

I do wish this craft class progressed at a clip more on par with the rest of the craft classes, but until that happens, these are the only options we have. And it might be that they planned it this way. Who's to say but Zenimax...
