My comp spec, why does my computer not work with ESO?

To check the system requirements, normally this game should work perfectly in GD Adjusted Requirements. at an avg performance of 125%!
So can someone explain to me, how is it in pvp i have permenant lag/freezes for 4-6 seconds? Also in PVE it happens. I would like to ADD I have played on the minimum specs I can play on this game, still I experience the problem.
Would also like to add that FF14 online runs on MAX settings, but this game dont take MIN settings.
I just dont understand why. Would like to undertsand why.

Here is my comp spec : Windows 7 home premium, 64-bit SP-1, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 8500, @ 3.16GHz, 4.0GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700 series.

I really hope someone can help me out somehow, so I can get this running correctly on my computer.

At first glance it seems like that system would run ESO alright...I'm not sure if you could handle max but I'd definitely say medium-high at least. The only thing that really comes to mind is possibly something like outdated drivers.

I would check to see what other applications and processes are using up resources. I would run a CHKDSK and see if there's any problems with your hdd as hdd problems are often overlooked and can cause issues such as freezes. Update all drivers as recommended by Saerydoth and run a cleaner such as CCleaner, also checking for registry file errors in CCleaner.

Thanks for the information. I realise all my software dates to 06.07.2010. It has never been updated. When I try to update it, I ask it to look online, but it just searches non stop for hours and never finds anything. You lot know anywhere to find the updates and where to save them etc?

edit: for other drivers, would need to know your motherboard's make and model.

This actually is one of the major problems of the game. Once you are in a battle group and players from outside Cyrodiil getting invited, all player gets those freezes, when one from your bg tries to enter the pvp zone. This also goes for zoning in from a public dungeon into cyrodiil and ppl trying to relog after a disconnect. Considering sometimes ppl even get a dc on those freezes, it can become very frustrating, since it is becoming a constant play of someone getting dc'ed, freezing others on relog, getting others dc'ed. It gets worse, the more players are in your bg. Only workaround atm is to build smaller grps and/or only invite ppl that are already in your campaigne. (While grps of up to 16-20 players work most of the time, your getting into troubles when you go for 20+ bg members.) Sometimes you even have to throw dc'ed player out of your group, to easen them their relog.

For those less adept at drivers and such, this is a good freeware tool for it. No need to sign up for an account / facebook link etc etc.

Just install and scan and it will download the drivers.
