The noob thread

OK, so in other games I've played, I was never a fan of PvP. My old crappy computer could barely handle PvE without exploding, and whenever I went to busy PvP areas, I would lag so much that I would die before I knew I was being attacked. When I heard ZOS was making it so there could be 100+ people on the screen I thought 'not on my Reagan Era PC.'

I was totally wrong! I went into Cyrodiil yesterday for the first time to check it out. I did all the training quests, then figured out how to teleport to the front lines. Then I followed the compass to the nearest battle, and was amazed at how many people I saw running around trying to destroy enemy seige weapons, push back the front lines, and just basically kill everything in site. Needless to say I died a lot in the hour I was there.

So here are my questions that I think other noobs would want to know.

How do I not suck?

Are there any guilds willing to train me in the ways of avoiding death? (I'm in AD and NA server)

Is it OK if I can't always have 3rd party chat software (TeamSpeak or whatever) running all the time?

Is it easiest to learn in big groups, or smaller groups?

Thanks in advance for all the tips, and if there are other questions noobs want to know, please post them here.

    Guilds can help.
Some help is probably on youtube.

Alot of what you will learn is by simply playing the game.

Best tip I can give for PvP is this.
Prepare to get beaten, it is the school of hard knocks . You either learn from it or run to the forums and cry. We all die, we all have been facerolled. And we learn to fight better and win from it.
Have fun, talk to the people in Zone. Most are ready and willing to give help and tips. You will not master it over night but watching and learning will build your confidence and experience to deal with encounters
Good people make these games great and so far in pvp been a lot of good people making great encounters
Stick at it, try hard, fight smart
