Dungeons are nothing but frustrating w/no loot system...terrible idea.

Frustrating is an understatement really. In fact I'm considering skipping them all together until it's fixed.

I'm tanking trying to keep people alive all the idiots in the group are running to get to the chest. This = my death several times in one run.

Love the game but OMG this was an absolute terrible idea and I'm shocked it shipped like this.

Just my opinion....

I agree. The chests are first come first served. The loot drop is lame. A boss that cost me 189 gold in repairs, two deaths and three food buffs dropped 9 gold and some cloth pants. It does not seem that the degree of difficulty relates to the loot that is dropped at all. I have not had any fun in dungeons. I for one will be skipping them.

With the high repair costs, I'm pausing on the dungeons for now. I'll get to them eventually.

One of the instances I did during the end of beta was as the OP described. One person would just sprint towards all the chests. I didn't care since it was just a beta and weeks from wiping characters, but if one person was ninjaing everything now - that would not be cool.

And don't forget that wonderful feature where even if you kick the loot ninja, they are still in the instance with you, allowing them to continue on their ninja ways while preventing anyone else you invite from even getting into the dungeon with you.

Yeah playing as a tank just means big repair bill and v little reward (bar the final quest) for me. Chests should be removed or at the v least need/greed for whole instance and all other loot shared. What would be better is useful loot tables for all bosses in a private dungeon.

I like that bosses don't drop purple loot for every single person in the group every time, its already too easy to gear in this game.

But I really don't like chests in dungeons.

I have tried several times to unlock chests and decide who gets what (mage gets staff or light armor, DPS gets medium armor, tank gets heavy, etc.) and call them over, but everyone either assumes I'll steal everything and goes on ahead or someone ELSE comes over and takes it (DPS gets staff, for example).

It is tough to get right, and I'm only in groups of 4.
