LOW FPS in large pvp battles?

Hey guys, i got an i5 2500k at 4.5 and a MSI R9 290.
My fps can drop as low as 17 fps in large pvp battles but returns to 60 in less crowded situations.

Is everyone else getting this bad performance in large battles?
I'v seen people with gtx 780's and i7 4770k's get about 20fps in large battles as well.

Just seems wrong to even have this sort of gameplay if you need a monster pc?
Even on low settings the fps will drop that low.

Really want to know what fps you guys get in 100-200 man battles etc

Thanks :)

Rofl, when you said low fps I thought of lower than that

On average in AvA my (lousy, admittedly) pc is in the 20-30 range, and i get spikes where I drop down to 1-7 fps.
Luckily, I'm already used to that from GW2.

Large battles have me somewhere in 10-20 range as well, with the spikes dropping me below 10 more common than in smaller battles.

I have a HD 6870 card, AMD fx 6 core CPU, 8gb ram and am in the 10-20 range for large fights. 45-65 for riding around.

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

I just upgraded my rig in every aspect.

    Old specs:
    Gtx680
    i5 2500k
    16GB RAM
(10-20fps in zergs 45-60 everywhere if I put text quality on high and everything else on med.)
    New specs:
    Gtx770
    i7 4770k
    16GB RAM
( 100-200 fps in pve on super-ultra setting and 45-90 in PvP. Its freaking glorious. I don't zerg so not 100% sure... closest I can say was me running from about 50-100+ enemies... and had a solid 60 fps.)

Windows (7 and 8 ), currently, can only utilise and work with a maximum of 8gigs of ram and there is no special exceptions or over-clocking work arounds, regardless of what some people like to claim. The rest is absolutely wasted. You would only ever use 16gigs if you were a hardcore video encoder or multi-channel professional audio engineer, and if that was your bread-making money earner, you wouldn't be using a PC to do so :P

Think you might have got ripped off there mate. Never let somebody sell you 16gigs of ram until there is hardware and games to use it ;)
