Well... he can't be healed and still takes 25% of the damage. Low manacost is result of high stage of vampirism.

the base manna cost is 75 manna according to what I read. Combat manna regen can actually be more than that, which makes it unending. And no you don't do 25% with any physical attack, you do nothing. If this is not working as intended then that's another issue. Even attacks that can hurt them don't do enough damage to get past your built in combat health regen. It needs to be changed to be a significant manna drain I'm pretty shure they never intended to make it forever invincibility.

A lvl 2 morphed mist's base cost is 400 mana.(lvl 40 character). If you have level 4 stage vampirism it costs 60% less that is 140 mana cost for a purely defensive ability ( and it will increase with your character leveling up). You cant attack, , your health regen is non existent ( -x ) and healing doesn't work if you are in a mist form.
It can't be spammed indefinitely in combat.
So get get all your facts straight

Mana cost improves as you gain levels and get ability trained. I think that your information source was incorrect or you didn't used it properly.
Even attacks that can hurt them don't do enough damage to get past your built in combat health regen.
    Vampirism penaltizes health regen greatly.

    Fail.

You can quote all the "facts" you want I am going off what is actually happening in pvp. As to the actual mana cost as I said its what I read I didn't claim to know for shure. I can tell you I watched a vamp spam it for literally 2 + min with 3 of us NB trying to kill him and doing no noticeable damage.

vet1 me the other 2 and the vamp I don't know couldn't actually target the vamp while in mist form, and melee wouldn't hit him at all.

Well, I suggest that more research needs to be done before continue to discuss that topic.

    Silver Bolts
    • Undead and Daedra are knocked down for 3.5 seconds.
    • 5% chance to banish targets on hit, dealing 189 magic damage.
    MORPHS:
    • Silver Shards: Hits 2 additional targets, but with reduced damage.
    • Silver Leash: Pull an enemy to you and deal additional damage.

There is 1-2 second window where you can stun them before they go into mist form again, if they are spamming it, then time your shots, stop spamming all your abilities until you have no mana or stam.

I have killed vampires in Cyradiil just by timing Silver Bolts at the right time.

Its a cool skill they have, but if you have the fighter skill "Silver Bolts" which everyone is able to get, you can stun them and stop them and drop all vampires/werewolfs with 1 skill.

If you are too lazy to put Silver Bolts on your bar, then that's your problem.
Silver Bolts, its easy to use, don't complain if you didn't use it.

Yeah, silver bolts put the ugly freaks in their place!

But it does suck to use a precious skill slot for them.

Wow, good to know. I have a question about the Silver Bolts morph, Silver Leash - does that pull any target toward you, or just Daedra?

The skill in general affects Undead and Daedra, with the passive it also effects Werewolfs.

Morphing it will still have those effects on them.

But be careful with that morph, there is a bug with it that i have read around the forums, apparently that morph doesn't work too well, or at all.

Ok, so does Silver Leash pull non-daedra, werewolves and vamps to you?

The mist, is not a problem. Aoe's still work, and I've been killed several times on it's first use as a Dragonknight. I've even chased down others using simple immobilizes and waited them out or using my own AoE's.

The mist is to compensate for the fire weakness and Fighter's Guild abilities purely wrecking them. It allows for escape and proper manuevering when fighting another player armed to the teeth for fighting vampires.

I don't think it works on any target. It also doesn't work on players, vamp or werewolf.

I really liked looking at the topic from this angle. I had not really invested thought on the impact that people speccing to fight vampires specifically could have.

What I like about mist form, is it let's me know that they are a vampire freak, and that I need to save some stamina to turn them into a pile of dust with my silver bolts.

It ONLY works on daedra and vampires - and werewolves if you get the passive skill. It will not pull everyone.

That said, silver bolts do plenty of damage on their own, even if they're not aimed at a vamp/doggie. So it's a useful skill to have handy.
