Gold Spammers...

EVERY where we look, please for the love of all that is beautiful in this world find a way to stop them. In a two hour time frame alone, I have reported two and ignored at least 10. This has got to be one of the most annoying things in any MMO and it's completely out of control right now.

btw it's in ALL of the home zones, not just Aldmeri Dominion. I just don't have authorization to post a new thread in General it seems.

Download the spamfilter addon. It'll auto ignore the spammers. But watchout now, they're spamming your mails too! I report "gold spammers". I knew this will happen someday.

Just so you guys know every mmo has this issue during its launch days and sometimes even a few months into launch like guild wars 2 I don't think they ever really actually "stop" gold farming I just think they stop the spamming of the websites after a while.

SWG ran what they called the Warden System
It was effective enough that it caused prices to jump
Basically it gave selected players the ability to 'silence' gold spammers, and in doing so it raised a flag to CSR who acted on it.
So the spam was stopped for x amount of time until the CSR got to it and investigated the ticket, and make sure no wrong doing was done

Not everyone had this ability, and it wasnt handed out to everyone.
It worked to a large degree, didnt stop them outright but had an effect

ZOS is taking action, good to see. The gold spammers are annoying, please no one buy their gold, if anyone does it validates their presence in the game.

Yeah, spamfilter is a very nice addon to have... if you see a spammer, report and add part of his message to your filters options and gone they are

I've actually been surprised how little I've seen. I get more in my mail then I see in chat

I see it on both sides (chat and email). It has gotten to the point where I get more email from them than from sells and purchases.

At least they are apologetic. Most of the email start with "Sorry ..."

yep. I played gw1 and gw2. gw2 had spammers last time I logged in as well.

Look for it in curse or minion. Spamfilters addon. It filters the chat but not in the mail. I just simply report gold spammers in mails. Thankfully i dont have to run to the mailbox. Id be pissed If i run there and read for no good foe nothing gold spammers.
