Went archer to 50, but what now?

So, I went sorceerer ( for pet + 700 extra armor spell + dmg shield spells ) and medium armor, 2h & bow, as a form of a hunter class.

I went to 50 with it, using the bow to CC mini-bosses, it went very fairly.

I used the Scorched earth ability > change to 2h > cleave for dmg shield and I easily killed a group of mobs.

However, is this viable later on? I see people using light armor and staffs almost instantly killing any mobs, and such. So, should I respec or continue with this build?

The bow is a very good ranged weapon, especially at your level with the right abilities and morphs.

I remember one particular emperor during the PTS testing that was extremely powerful and he used the bow exclusively for ranged.
