Starting gear suggestion
I decided to start a Sorc today to try it out. I opted to skip the tutorial but it turns out that it severely gimped me. I had zero appropriate gear from the container I received and ended up dieing a lot even with the easiest encounters. I opted for Destruction Staff but I still have yet to get one. I was trying to fight with a sword and cast some spells but it was very unsuccessful.
I really just want to give a suggestion here. When we get the container with a little smidge of gear, why can't it be appropriate to the class we play? If I choose a sorc, chances are I'm not going to want heavy or medium armor and a bow and sword combo. Either that or, for unusual combinations, just give us one of every kind of armor and weapon skill but make it worth zero money. I think this would help out new players tremendously.
