Launcher Issues

So I finally decided to buy this "GLORIFIED" prequel to TES IV and V today. After spending the money for a digital download I wasn't at all surprised when I couldn't actually play the game... Needless to say I'm having issues even installing this pile of crap. I click install in the first menu after the client finished downloading, but the loading bar never moved! I exited the application and low and behold the bar was fully loaded for some really weird reason. Then I get into the launcher window, and the News section won't even load. So I click install and the loading bar doesn't even move for 2 HOURS! All it says is "initializing" above it and it never moved once! Please help me guys. I just want to play this hunk of junk that I just wasted my money on and I can't. I'm running Windows 8.1 on a Pavilion x2 laptop (ya not the greatest) with a N3510 CPU and GHz 1.99... Any recommended settings or tweaks would be awesome!

    have you tried repairing the launcher? You can do so from the launcher window.

    That button is well hidden so you should be more specific about this suggestion.

    In the Game Options menu above the newsfeed, you should have a Repair option. If it's not there, you have to start installing, shutdown the launcher, open it back up, go to Game Options and Cancel, then it should be available.

    Although, it doesn't sound like you've managed to install the game to begin with. I don't have any suggestions other than e-mail ZoS. They seem to respond pretty quickly. But make sure your e-mail is very detailed about everything you've tried so they don't just respond to tell you to do the same thing Armitas just said.

    Hello,

    Try running the launcher as an administrator. You can also try disabling your antivirus, firewall, Pop-up blocker, Ad-blocker or webfilter temporarily and try again. Please make sure you re-enable your web protection afterwards!

    We are aware that some players are unable to patch or update the launcher due to their automatic proxy detection.

    • Open Internet Explorer (even if it is not your regular web browser)
    • Open the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
    • Go to Connections tab/LAN settings
    • Uncheck “Automatically detect proxy settings” and hit OK.
    • Press OK again to confirm.

    Alternatively on your Control Panel, click on "Network and Internet" and open Internet Options:

    • Connections Tab: Click on LAN settings. On the LAN settings window, uncheck all the boxes and click on OK.
    • Advanced Tab: Click on Reset and then click on Reset again.

    You may have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
