Captain Bones' Ship

Hello everyone. Was curious if anyone has been lucky enough to complete Captain Bones' Ship zone boss marker? I've tried many things and waited long periods of time at the location with nothing to spawn.

Things I've tried:

• Sitting at spawn for over an hour
• Checking spawn during day and night cycles
• Killing all mobs in area
• Killing mobs near Mr. Flint (the ghost monkey)
• Checking for anything to interact with
• Dying next to Mr. Flint
• Yelling at Mr. Flint, no response

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I must have spent two or three hours this past weekend waiting for this boss to spawn and it never happened. I ventured over there Monday and within a couple of minutes, the boss spawned. I should say bosses as there are like five ghosts that spawn and they are all almost as tough as a solo skull boss. I do not know what finally triggered the bosses to spawn, though. Perhaps enough people stayed far enough away from Mr. Flint and the ship.

Update:
Try using the /camp command to see if that helps spawn the ghost pirates.

I also can't finish this boss, I tried many things to make him spawn but nothing has worked.

Waiting at the spawn right now. I'm thinking it just has a really long spawn timer.

Also camping it now, been coming back to kill it for past 4 days. This is ridiculous!!!

He just spawned, I guess he just has a ridiculously long respawn timer.

/camp worked for me, when I re-logged he was right there.

I was told he only shows up during night time.
So being there at night + /camp worked for me yesterday.

As a small update, I can confirm he simply just bugs out on some instances. I randomly by chance found one instance that had him spawned, and he respawned again roughly about 25-30 minutes after death. He does not require night time to spawn.

So looks like if he doesn't spawn on one instance, just try logging out and back in a few times to find one where he is up.

I have no clue what bugs him out, it may be similar to the bug that happens with Anchors, where if someone pulls the adds away, they get stuck on return pathing or despawn. I suspect this as he has 2 adds with him. You can kill each add by themselves, but they respawn when you pull Captain Bones.

LOL well It is not as bad as all that I recall waiting a week for one mob to spawn for a epic item quest in Everquest. This is nothing compared to that.

+1, /camp works. You know that it is bugged when you see the little monkey Mr. Flint, it should spawn with the captain.

The fight is buggy as well though: Captain will summon his cronies, then go back to his ship and go full health, should you kill his crew, spawns them again and again and again... bring a posse for this one, not just 1-2 buddies.

They gotta fix this... I feel like I cannot continue any further in The Rift at level 45 until I freaking clean up this one tiny blemish of incompleteness in Shadowfen. COME ON ZENIMAX PLEASE FIX THIS GUY! >.<

Bumping this to say that /camp does not work. It never worked for me. I've logged out and logged back in six times now. Only Mr. Flint appears. /camp has failed me.

I've waited 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, and /camp still does not work.

So I've tried /dishonor followed by /quit.

I have a feeling this just has a very long re-spawn time as others have said. I logged-in and ran over there just to check and a battle was going on. There were ghosts. So I joined in ... and died. And the damn thing hasn't re-spawned since. I waiting forever. Mr Flint the ghost monkey is always there - battle or no battle. There really need to lower the timing on this. Unless this is done on purpose??

Just used /camp and it worked. FYI he is the hardest boss I have fought thus far and I was 7 levels above him and his adds at the time. Only had two people helping me. Several deaths.

Still bugged today I think or at least a horribly long respawn that needs to be looked at please. Stayed at the camp 2 hours and did /camp several times. Did this at night.

tried relogging 10+ times and never found him spawned in any phases. Waiting for over 30 mins in one for him to spawn. nothing

just completed him by re logging and finding an instance with him. just have to get lucky

I tried to find him many times without success, and one day someone said "captain bones is up" in zone chat, so I went straight there and got him ( and his shipmates :-) )

I'm quite positive it's not, when I was questing in Shadowfen I saw in zone chat several times that he had spawned.

Can confirm, Captain Bones is broken in a lot of instances.

It was working on Friday. It actually spawns 3 bosses I think. Couldn't handle it then. Will have to go back with a group. It's a tough one.
