What do you like MOST about the PvP System?

Just curious what players enjoy most about it?

For me through my limited experience so far,
That people are more for the objective then in other games. I have always disliked when in other games it became less about the win and more about the kills, so many times ive been in teams/games where the objective is never touched in a kill chasing bonanza.
Or when the Objective turns in to a Death match mode and your side still loses it

Win, lose or faceroll. I have liked what I have seen so far in regards to people wanting to work together and get the objective, yeah the system helps. But was still refreshing to see!

What about yourself? What are you enjoying about the PVP?

I love defending. yesterday on Wabbajack, we seiged BRK, went south to Sejanus, and took it from the AD. Then we got a bit ambitious and attacked Alessia, where we were defeated and for like 2 hours we went from battling in front of alessia, pushed back to the bridge, then a siege of sejanus where we succeded about 3 times in the defence before the ad finally brought up a huge army and pushed us back and took sej. My favorite part was the close quarters on the bridge. it was the most fun I had had in the game probably(and I have had plenty of fun in the pve).

I want to kill. Would rather have proper guild tags then a titled earned by killing NPCS (I doubt anyone will earn that many points by only killing people)

I am a veteran of 400 plus WinterGrasp battles (300+ of which were wins) during WotLK on Ghostlands NA. EOS Cyrodiil not only matches but surpasses that feeling of excitement and elation!

I have never seen a medieval-esque game where the fighting and the maneuvering were so fluid. The skirmishing back and forth. How flanking and surprise attacks, and unit cohesion matter. The thrill of being the 'forlorn hope' unit running through the breached wall or shattered gates. The visceral feeling of seeing someone's horse (or my own) flip or stumble when hit by artillery or sustained ranged attack.
Go into the emptiness, strike voids, bypass what he defends, hit him where he does not expect you. (Ts'ao Ts'ao - commentary on Sun Tzu's Art of War)

    That its completly optional.

Cause frankly, this system stinks and stinks badly. As far as im concerned until they add regular BGs and Arenas only, this is a PvE only game.

The entire npc and siege combat can go to hell. Mass zergs don't prove anything, only who can zerg more. Thats not a skill, and skill is what pvp is supposed to be all about.

Getting stuck behind enemy lines after a lost battle, and then the journey back towards friendly territory.
Deciding whether you will sneak, or run fast, or get on your horse. Spying some people in the distance, but not close enough yet to see alliance icons.
Sneaking your way past some hills, and suddenly you see a whole mob of enemies heading your way on horses, and managing to avoid them by a hair, the sneak eye opening and closing constantly.
Saving some friendly alliance member along the way that gets ganked for being careless.

A lot of crazy stuff can happen, all in just one trip from one fort to another.

So the pvp is not pvp until its Arena based? o.O
I will agree that taking keeps has its highs and lows, I have always found it odd that whenever people have PvP that is more battleground/arena based they demanded it become open world pvp instead, now that there is open world pvp there seems to be a few people wanting it arena/ battleground based

Darka, that is because people are vocal about what they want and don't have. So, since there is no Battlegrounds in ESO, that will be the vocal group.

I also suspect the number of people who prefer battlegrounds is larger, but that is up to developers to decide.

DAoC had it's fight club area in the RvR zones as well. I'm sure we'll see that in ESO too. But I like it as it is. If I wanted small pvp I'd go play league of legends. I love that we can break down keep walls and sneak around with armies. It means you can't get complacent and only look at the gates.

I love pvp, it makes game what it is, competitive. In ESO i espesially enjoy nerfed bows, and over powered skills of DK with Sorc's. I couldn't imagine any better!
Me myself playing a crab, so i don't really take part in pvp but it's still fun to watch!

Zerg fights in general can be lame but we have to appreciate a few things at work here. First, they built this game on an engine and with a back end that CAN ACTUALLY HANDLE. Want to see this concept when it fails? Please check out GW2. Second organized groups can definitely demonstrate skill when they wipe the mindless zergs. Winning a fight when your outnumbered 2:1 doesn't happen by accident.

Very true. People get in "follow" mode. But those of us that are less inclined for that style of play can usually take advantage of it. They never do anything but mindless "zerging" or "blobing". How can they really now what works and what doesn't? They never improve.

I had alot of fun with all sorts of battles in PvP both giant zergs and 1v1s. I would like to see an arena or a duel system thou. Im sure it will come in a later patch. No need to worry

Defending duo and delaying that outer wall from going down as long as possible and right before it drops dropping a siege camp so you get the necessary defenders to push the enemies out, repair the wall and laugh that their zerg wasted all that time while you only had 2-3 defenders.

i love to have no scrolls in any campain.
i love that the german alliance forum is dead since day 1.
i love that 99,99% of my daggerfall mates cant play the game.
i love that the map is completely red right now ... all keeps all outposts

i nearly lost my mind yesterday when 150+ tryed to get the Aldmeri Scrolls from their shrine, after 5 or 6 hours and after everybody tryed to pick up the scroll.

finally someone noticed the letters on the screen telling you: you cant pick up a scroll if you dont have any.

and i love to see them die over and over again at chalman, 200 and more wiped by a single emperor that is invincible because hes dragonknight, vampire with 6 Scrolls in his keeps.

sometimes when they get bored 5 scrolls and 1 in the hand ... just to show them what is possible ...

here a good example of the stupidity that i love so much,

all the noobs try to kill him at close combat, no cc ... no brain
