It's so simple a bot could do it.

Or you can just mind yours and let people who want to level another way do so. Grinding mobs is a common and age-old tradition in MMOs, and some of us rather like having the option.

Sure, but then every way leading to level V10 should require the same effort and time, which is actually not the case

Its a pretty delicate balancing act. You nerf one too hard, the other becomes the only option, same for buffing either one. Fact is though that one is more "entertaining" while the other is just repetitive actions, and the act of grinding is only as efficient as the people performing the act make it. It requires more effort and you basically have to do it well to make it worth doing at all.

Also, after vet1 they can't level via grinding anymore, mobs give too little xp for that.
One of the first guys (though not the very first one, think he ended up being nr 2 or 3) streamed his entire journey to VR10, so it should be quite easy to find outAlso, after vet1 they can't level via grinding anymore, mobs give too little xp for that.
Which really makes me wonder how folks supposedly reached veteran 10 within a couple days of early access.
I think that the diminishing returns idea is something they could implement, or you don't get xp for killing a unique mob more than one time. There'd be a lot of griping about that though, since most of those unique mobs that folks farm drop soul gems, and that's the real reason people farm them.

And he missed a ton of skill points and skyshards in the way.
Currently while grinding is fast you miss out quest reward skillpoints and there are about 5-8 of those in every area. If you include the 16 skyshards as well, it's a lot.

If you are playing an ES game and skipping everything in the way of lore/places/quests etc.... This begets the question of why play it at all? You may find an ARPG like PoE, D3, TLII are more to your liking. Lots of killing, no reading required.
The problem isn't that grinding is a viable option, the problem is that grinding is a significantly superior option for leveling, and yes that is a problem. As mentioned belowreagen_lionel wrote: »Quests should not be the only viable way to level up. So no.

Nope.
There are spots for grinding which can level you for about X20 times the speed you would have leveled with fast lore-less questing. I would say that this is a little broken.
Instead of nerfing monster exp again though, they should introduce a kind of diminishing returns that will affect only these grinders.
