This video shows a huge flaw in the ESO-dungeon/group system.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=KLBHjwCw088

Sofar i haven't had this happen to me, but i can imagine the aggravation it
would cause to the players who has it done to them.
This is literally players exploiting bad ingame mechanics to ruin the gameplay
of other players, and thriving on it.

    Found a huge flaw to
mini Endboss in every public Dungeon (torch sign on map)
respawns very fast and drop blue / setitems every time again....
Players grinding Endbosses for much Money and Craftstuff.....

If people think trolling won't be a huge issue, they haven't played an MMO before. This is Ridiculous and needs a fix. Just look at FF14:ARR and how they FINALLY let you vote kick people.

Sounds like it needs a fix to me. The good news is that they don't have inventory space to do this for very long, lol.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

Yep I have a guildmate that went from blacksmithing 1-10 in an hour doing this. You know the drill people: exploit early and often.

Agree with OP, leaving a comment just so maybe this thread will get notice. It's a huge flaw, kinda kills the experience. What's the point of going into dungeons...

They probably should have considered getting someone on board someone with at least a little experience in making an mmo. Between removal of exp gains in group content and design like this, it's pretty embarrassing.

Another bump for this thread, minimun that should be done is to instantly remove the player from the dungeon the moment he leaves the group

My first dungeon I grabbed most of the chests and got lots of blue items, pretty much gave them to all the players in my group that could use them. However I had another group where we kept pulling so I kept healing and another guys was grabbing chests while we we fighting. That was pretty annoying going through most of the dungeon one man down.

Wow that four person thing is crazy, we really do need a way to kick trolls.

Kicking will just open new ways of griefing. Just see GW2, people kick at endboss for fun or to invite guild mates.

What's described in that video happens rarely though. What I find just as annoying is having to wait on someone who is off looting after a boss, or "positions" himself towards the chest when the fight is about to end and so on.

It's just as annoying and happens much more frequent than the obvious ninjaing that happens in the video. I want players to have full focus on the boss fight, not starting to look around where the chests are and by "accident" standing next to one at the end.

wtf is so hard to figure out here Zen? You guys are making so many rookie online mistakes it's just not that funny anymore.. I try to have a sense of humor about this sort of thing, but this is just plain low level gaming.

Bump!!This is a huge bad design.Hoping it get noticed and prioritized along with the BC dungeon bugged. My suggestions.

1st of all get a kicked player out of the instance,I think that's the biggest mistake, leaving kicked player inside the instance.

2nd You guys have made chests more important than boss fights.Increase boss loot in a way that make more sense to pay attention to fights than looking around for chests.

3rd Reduce chests quantity in dungeons or add a roll system for chests(not for bosses I still love instanced loot) or make chest loot instanced too?

I consider this developments errors to be of novice development caliber specially when there is many other games to take examples from.

Edit:Another idea that just came to mind for chests.I normally run dungeons with friends so we focus on finishing the instance and when done we go on a free for all chest grabbing which is actually a lot of fun as you see players running like crazy trying to pick the most chests but all of that after the instance is finished. So I suggest that all chests only spawn when the instance is completed maybe even giving some kind of screen message.I find this to be a good solution, chests spawn when instance completed along with kicked players being ported out of instance.

First dungeon I ran, we had a player like this. You could tell before we even started. They were jumping around running all over the place checking every nook and cranny. And sure enough, you could NOT beat this person to a chest. It was like they knew where the chests were located, or were watching closely for them. We'd go into a new room and pull and instead of fighting, this person was sprinting around making sure there weren't any chests. And if there were they would either immediately loot them, or if in combat, they would position themselves right by the chest so they could immediately pick the lock. Tried to call them out and just got ignored. Zenimax needs to do something to address this issue because it is negatively affecting group play. I knew, when I found out chests were first come first serve, that this would cause no end to grief and have a huge, negative impact on the community. Because when grouping up and running dungeons, there's always that ONE person...There are any number of ways they can fix this. And they need to do it asap.

I mean seriously this game is awsome but the mistakes that they made makes me wonder who this devs are , have they ever played mmos!!!
Again the devs, publishers and rushed releases and deadlines that ruin everything just because of that extra 1 dollar!! Grow up devs and publishers and stop ruining great games!!

Solution to chest and trolling are simple after u get kicked u teleport out of dungeon in 30 sec or so , and chests need to have looting sistem like need , greed simple as that !!

The need/greed system kinda sucks also and brings up a whole different kind of griefing- the person who says need for everything. A simpler solution would be that the chests are instanced for all players, but there are fewer of them per dungeon. Instanced loot is the way to go.

I have to agree with all of the above this is a huge issue. As noted above there is a high chance that at least one person you get turns into a chest hunter in a dungeon ( not only do you get better loot but you get bonus experience for unlocking chests), who doesn't want either of of those.

And if you are participating and mange to get a chest after combat then so be it... But it is really frustrating when you get Someone who is so single minded that combat and the group are second hand priorities when they should be the first...

Add that you can't remove or vote to kick said person is even more frustrating...

Personally I get ZEN doesn't want loot rolling in the game .... But maybe a solution to this problem is letting everyone in the group open each locked chest once each so people don't have to fight over chests in Intances
