What to do so people want to invest into protection

Now I almost do not see any defense. People got the keep and move to the next (after small repairs). This become zerg game - same as in GW2.
From the other hand defense is very effective and small group can defend for quite a while waiting for reinforecements, but there is no reason to stay at keep and defend it, there is also no reason to buy forward camp, hire, only reason why people buy siege weapons is that there is not much to do with Alliance points.

Not sure what game you are playing mate?. I play in a group of 15 and we got into a skirmish three way, in which we were outnumbered by each group. Yet we managed to come out on top through smart play, Zergs only win when in such a high number it becomes impossible. But then zergs can be stopped at chokepoints. Learn the landscape and you can't go wrong.

Lol this has to be a joke...how would you even expect to get into a keep without siege dude, there's many reasons for siege and forward camps, there's also tons of reasons to defend a keep, like how long it takes to upgrade and if its your guilds keep that's very important.
