Leveling a character from 42 to 43 level...

When leveling a character from level 42 to level 43, players still receive the "Bound Attribute Respecification Scroll" and "Bound Skill Respecification Scroll".
However, these items have been unusable for a long time.
Essentially, these obsolete rewards were never replaced with anything functional.
This can be highly confusing for new players. It frankly shows a lack of care in properly maintaining and polishing the game.
Please fix this issue and replace them with worthwhile rewards that are actually useful for players growing their characters

It is my understanding that these are being removed in the next patch with the update to the level up rewards.

    Good to know.
However, this habit of introducing new features—such as the free UI respecs introduced in Update 49 back in March—while leaving the affected leveling content broken for months is not a good look.
If these rewards are finally being fixed in Update 51 next September, that means it took two major patches and half a year just to clean up a legacy system they broke.
Players—especially newer ones—should not be left with broken or non-functional level-up rewards for such an extended period.
It shows a clear lack of internal coordination between implementing modern systems and updating the core progression elements tied to them.

The devs said that they were changing that and I think that was slated for Update 51. They've been whittling away making level-up rewards more appropriate to current game systems, so you get your horse at Level 5 now and stuff like that. The last character of mine to cross that threshold took the 600 gold and gave thanks for not having to sacrifice two inventory slots for the indefinite future (character-bound gear really bites for storage).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

The 600 gold is a nice silver lining for inventory management, but it shouldn't have to be a choice between pocket change and broken items.
Level-up milestones are supposed to feel rewarding and teach mechanics to progressing characters.
Turning a milestone into a chore of clearing inventory slots just proves how disconnected the legacy rewards have felt prior to this upcoming Update 51 fix.

    From PTS patch notes:
"Level 43 now rewards you with 2500 gold instead of 1 attribute and skill respecification scroll, as respecs are freely available in the Character and Skills menus."

"Sweet Mother, sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear"

Not to put too fine a point on it, but those respec scrolls became close to useless when the Armory Station showed up in Update 32. That's why the "give thanks for the two freed up pack slots." The only time I used those scrolls was when characters were doing the initial leveling up of the subclassed skill lines, but they were character-bound and couldn't be stacked with the other respec scrolls from login rewards. Took the money and ran with those, too.
