An Unusual Request: Nerf A Drop Rate

Yes, I would like a drop rate nerfed. Specifically, Gorethief from Rewards of the Worthy. I have had enough pieces to fill the stickerbook at least 3 times over and only two or three pieces of anything else. The RNG seems a tad lopsided.

Agreed. Opened 50 boxes yesterday and all were gorethief. That’s a bit much.

I think it is the only new set for PvP this time since it has all three weights, instead of the usual three different sets.

There are still quite a few of the older sets dropping too, at least for me.

(Well at least they were in GH, with three empty bars prime time on my server for Vengeance I have not gone in to see.)

1) There is no difference between GH and Venegance Rewards of the Worthy
2) The overall drop rate will be higher because of the 3 weights, but there are other sets, they just barely drop because Gorethief's rate is way too high.

I agree with you about the item in question. I wonder if its possible for them raise some of the other ones. Perhaps a bit of both.

Are you sure about #1? Something about the test might be different? Could it just be your own personal RNG? I think the newer sets have always had a slightly higher chance of dropping, and I was seeing older sets dropping at least some of the time.

I'll agree that RNG could be the issue, but none of my characters have received anything except Gorethief from Rewards for the Worthy for quite a while. I'm not especially upset about that because it's been uncollected stuff, but there are still seven sets in the pool with Gorethief making nine since it's in all three weights and hitting the same set time after time after time after time makes me suspect that Gorethief is weighted heavier than the 1-in-9 the drop calculation implies.

This set also needs to be given a style so it can drop those mats on decon. The last one I got still didn’t have one assigned.

All PvP sets normally drop in the Alliance style of your character.

The odd part is that the new sets for the last few years don’t officially have that style in the Stickerbook. That means that they just get reconstructed in the default Breton style instead of your alliance style.

I never understood why they didn’t just fix that, and instead keep releasing all PvP sets with no style set.

Really, the drops from these boxes need to be curated. Then if you run out of Gorethief things to get, you will get other stuff.
