I went out looking for a dragon fight… but there was no one there.
So I took a vantage point… and watched the sky.
When it flew overhead, I didn’t hesitate. I chased it down.
I hit it mid-flight
and that was enough.
It turned.
It came down.
I closed the distance, rolled through the attacks, and stayed on it so it couldn’t take off again.
It wasn’t about damage.
It was about control.
For a moment, the fight was exactly where I wanted it – on the ground…within reach.
Eventually, it overwhelmed me.
No group.
No backup.
Alone.
But that wasn’t the point.
I didn’t defeat the dragon.
I decided where the fight would happen.
Sometimes the win isn’t the kill…
It’s taking control of the fight.
