Make S&S have crit chance passives for Templar, and make it do the exact same damage as DW daggers. Also give Solar Barrage or something major evasion. Paladins use shields, so it would be cool to see S&S compete with daggers on Templar, like Ice Staff is competitive on Warden.
Put Jabs back to 4 jabs, and put Beam back to 1.8 seconds. I don’t believe a Templar main is testing out these changes and saying, “Oh yeah, this is an improvement.” I don’t think a single person prefers 3 jabs over 4, and Jesus Beam was my favourite skill, now I can’t stand it. Please change it back.
And give it its own damage type and status effects. Make all Templar abilities do Radiant damage or Solar damage, call it whatever you want.
The status effect could be an AoE DoT that pulses, then on execute at 33% or 25% it turns into a strong single-target DoT that no longer pulses.
I had an idea for a cool ultimate: you fly into the sky with two spears in your hands, then land on the target with a big AoE blast, and the two spears stick in the ground and pulse for a duration.
I think an ultimate like The Tide King’s Gaze would work well on Templar, like a big sun beam. It could be ground-targeted but follow whatever Backlash is on, like how Curse controls pets. Maybe make it last longer, like 15–20 seconds, so it feels different. Make it the big damage back bar ultimate. I also want it to melt the ground if the ultimate stays stationary for a certain amount of time and leave a ground DoT.
I want Arbiter form from D4. Maybe rework Burning Light, make it a passive where when you activate Templar abilities you glow or get wings of some sort, or make it an ability like Lightning Form. I want some sort of light effects coming off me.
