PC NA. My game is unplayable this morning. My mouse works just fine but my keyboard inputs aren't registering or when they do they are extremely intermittent. I can't move my toon more than a few feet if I can move it at all. I was trying to do the pickpocket daily Endeavor and it took about 10 minutes to complete. I had to do a hard reboot of my PC to finish since ALL of my keyboard inputs failed to register. I couldn't even get the ESC key to bring up the QUIT option. Pressing and holding the POWER button on my PC was the only way I could get out of the game since there isn't a mouse option to bring up the QUIT option like there is in most other MMOs.
After my PC rebooted I performed a RESTART and was able to get back into the game and the issue seemed to be fixed. And it was. For about 10 minutes. But once my daily RND popped and I got into Imperial Prison my keyboard inputs once again began failing to register. It took a couple of minutes before I was able to even leave my group and exit the dungeon.
This is not the first time this has happened. It has happened at least 5 other times this year. And I think I might finally know why. Here's my theory - ZOS's PvP Vengeance. I can't be sure but I think that each time this has happened ZOS has had their Vengeance system active. This is my guess anyway. The reason I say guess is because the last time this happened was during the Writhing Wall and Witches' Festival and I don't know if Vengeance was active, too during that time. During that time I barely played the game at all. It took hours then to just complete the daily activities. I literally had to login multiple times each day back then over hours just to get those simple activities done. I have no interest in doing that again especially with another event about to start in less than a week.
ESO is the ONLY MMO that I play where this happens. It does not happen and has NEVER happened in ANY of the other MMOs that I play. I currently play two other MMOs.
I'm asking you, ZOS. PLEASE fix this issue so that it never happens again. Yes, ALL of my software/ drivers are up-to-date. Yes, ALL of my hardware is in good working order. This issue is NOT on my end.
I will try to log back into ESO again later today and see if I have better results. Thank you.
UPDATE:
I waited several hours before logging back in and was able to complete my basic daily tasks - Endeavors and Random Normal Dungeons. All of my toons are parked in Vivec City at or near the bank. Here's what I noticed.
My main toon was left parked at Jeeba Nu. As soon as I was on that toon I queued for an RND. My queue popped instantly and I ported into Elden Root !. The dungeon went smooth NO issues whatsoever. However, as soon as I left that dungeon and returned to Vivec City the problems began again although limited in effect. So I switched to my first alt.
On that alr the problem was immediate and severe. It took apx. 10 minutes for my RND queue to pop and I almost missed it as my keyboard inputs failed to register for nearly the entire 45 second during of the acceptance period. Once in Crypt of Hearts II the issue VERY slowly went away but NOT entirely. I was able to complete the dungeon but my participation was low. Once back in Vivec City game behavior was the same as with my main toon. I then switched to my other alt.
On that toon the results were the worst both in Vivec City and the dungeon Direfrost Keep. I barely participated in that dungeon run at all. EVERY boss fight NONE of my keyboard inputs registered. And once each boss was dead my keyboard inputs returned but my game was thoroughly choppy with my toon stopping every few feet for several seconds and NONE of my abilities triggering despite furious key mashing. Once back in Vivec City same results as above.
It seems that the problem is gamewide with most of problem being in the Overland part of the game. And I am not the only player that experienced issues today. There were a few other players reporting "massive lag" and I couldn't help notice other player characters stuttering across my screen as they seemed to be stopped dead in their tracks every few steps.
I was in the mood to do a little questing for Skill Points when I first logged in this morning but with the game being unplayable that, of course, didn't happen. I hope this issue is non-existent the next time I am in the mood to play ESO.

TheDutchChef✭✭Thats a complete different issue then i am currently running in to but...
For me it is suddenly random crashes of the game itself... As example i walk/run towards a wayshrine and poof. Game instant closes... I teleport? During teleport "poof" game instant crashes and the launcher tells me that there may be "corrupt" files causing it.
With or without addons it doesn't matter it still crashes.Even after multiple "repairs" it still continues
Hope they get at least a hold onto the issue(s) quick at least this time....0 -

✭✭✭✭✭OP, are you using a wired or wireless keyboard? If wired, have you tried unplugging and re-plugging it? Have you tried a different keyboard?
Addons?
What happens if you play on PC EU? If you don't currently do so, it would help if you created a character there for testing purposes.
