Ok so old topic I know but i need to vent and I think my points are valid.
Infinite archive is a slog, with awful drop rates, terrible prices from the filers in there with frankly low incentive to even go wste time in this endless hellscape of RNG, and I'd like to throw my hat in the ring, which will prolly fall on deaf ears but yeah.:
1- Increase the drop rates & lower the prices:
Seriously the biggest flaw is how bad the drop rates are for things like the class locked style pages for example... WHICH ARE BOUND, IA item sets etc they are far too expensive for purely cosmetic things, people were turned off by these purely because of the class locked but by making them so expensive and bound? that's killed it for the most part, now as for drop rates they are even worse, whilst it does apply to the afformentioned style pages, biggest offenders the Torc leads, they are god awful you can spend hundreds of hours in there without getting even one which peeves alot of people off... long story short having a few items of interest locked behind terrible drop rates and high prices does not encourage people to go there, it encourages them to find alternatives rather than waste their time. Lower the store prices, and increase the drop rates.
2- Add more reasons for people to go there:
I very much like the fact we get random pieces of overland sets, it makes the stickerbook very happy and i think they should do this more, add dungeon sets to it, add more things to the merchant stores, like the tier 5 racial style pages, classic worm cult style, lich style, asylum weapon style, selene's web styles hell even those annoying imperial city style pages that take forever to grind because of how long it takes to get the keys required... maybe even make all the Torc leads permanently available so we can in fact purchase them. By giving people MORE reasons to go there you increase engagement, and if you also did number one they will be less likely to go "ugh nevermind I'll find a facsimile"
3- increase the group thing to have 4 people:
Sure it's perfectly manageable with 2 people or even solo, but with an extra 2 people it will feel much less of a slog to grind through each arc snce with a full dungeon group it is less likely we will all have to completely change our preferred playstyle.... which is very annoying when we are dying due to things not even based on mechanics and are being forced to play in a specific way... we all hate that. Dying to mechs is our own fault, but dying because we are not running the specific build and playstyle you want us to sucks.
4- add an auto queue:
nobody really uses the group finder for this, adding an auto queue will allow randoms to join in if they wish to group without having to worry about waiting forever to get a random to join in their post, advertise in the zone chats
With these I think it would make the archive more engaging and fun, with much less of a slog, and with more stuff in there there is less chances people will complain about there beig nothing to do.
