It has been a lot of fun running around as a stage 4 vampire and trying to work around its resource cost disadvantage, however there are some things that I would like changed which would arguably benefit everyone who uses the skill line either for roleplay or for gameplay without ruining the overall balance.
And pretty much most of my talking points have to do with the Ultimate of the skill line, specifically the Perfect Scion. As it stands, the benefit it offers pales in contrast to the Bat Swarm Scion simply because a brief reprieve from the drawbacks cannot make up for AoE damage.
What I would like to suggest for the Perfect Scion is the statblock description below the currently writen one:
"Transform into a monstrous creature of the night, instantly healing to full Health. While transformed, your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina are increased by 10000, you heal for 15% of all damage you deal, and you can see enemies through walls. You also ascend to Vampire Stage 5, which grants all the benefits of Vampire Stage 4 with none of the drawbacks."
The change I am suggesting is best put in the words below:
"Tranform into a monstrous creature of the night, instantly healing to full health. While transformed, your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina are increased by 13000, you heal for 10% of all damage you deal, and you can see enemies through walls.
While slotted on either bar, You retain the benefits of your current Vampire Stage and receive the drawbacks of the previous stage"
Stage 4 Vampires currently have:
Health Recovery: -100%
Flame Damage Taken: +20%
Regular Ability Costs: +12%
Vampire Ability Costs: -24%
What "Perfect" Stage 4 Vampires should have with this change:
Health Recovery: -60%
Flame Damage Taken: +13%
Regular Ability Costs: +8%
Vampire Ability Costs: -24%
(^ For Example ^)
In my humble opinion, this would make the ability a more competent choice to pick over the Bat Swarm instead of being an objectively inferior one, because it grants roughly 1 more skill to be cast non-stop compared to the regular Blood Scion and a personally more tolerable sting to the stats that a lot of people would appreciate which does not ruin the balance from my pov.
I would also like to point out how inconvenient it is that I have to be at the same height as an unsuspecting target to get the prompt to feed on them, just a nitpick compared to the rest of this post though.
