Skordo nowhere to be found after completing Writhing Fortress

Completed Writhing Fortress, and when instructed to return to followship camp to turn in quest, Skordo is nowhere to be found, his quest marker shows him at the top of the ramp next to the lens, but he is not there, have exited and reentered zone, reloadui, swapped characters, restarted game, and nothing. Anyone else encountering this, and if so, is there a workaround?
