"Crossing the wall" quest: is there anyone who could answer a question?

I haven't finished the Solstice main quest yet, so I haven't had access to the "Crossing the Wall" quest. I'd like to know if, once the event is over, I'll still be able to access the "Crossing the Wall" quest when I finish the Solstice main quest, or if it will be lost forever and I'll never be able to get the Memento. I've asked this question before in other threads, but no one has responded.
A response from a GM would be greatly appreciated.

Crossing the Wall is part of the Solstice Main Quest.

I thought this was a quest that only became available through the current event

"Crossing the Wall" is just regular Solstice main quest part 6. The event-only quest is "Support the Fellowship".

Yep but "Crossing the Wall" is locked by the event and needs phase 3 to be unlocked and finished right?

They gated it behind the fortress getting completed (by random people, once per server). Fortress end boss killed for the first time will unlock the access to East Solstice they said, so I guess that will be the moment when the next quest stage for "Crossing the Wall" appears. So this evening, I think maybe half an hour after the fortress opens (7 pm CET), at most (maybe much less, depending on the number of people storming it).

So they DID gate the rest of the story quests behind a group "Trial"?
Not cool, they shouldn't be gating anything behind forcing people to either Group or PvP.
If that's the model going forward, I'll be giving serious thought to whether or not I buy Passes in the future.

The second half of Solstice better not be designed in the same way...

Someone needs to complete it for this event. Not every player. Even if you completely ignore the fortress, the quest will progress once the final boss gets killed on your server, no matter who killed it.

Also, no grouping needed for the fortress. It's just an open dungeon with a few simple mechanics. People need to unlock gates and lower bridges, if I remember right. On PTS I stumbled in there with random 5 other people, some of us with testing characters and random gear, and we got it done, although it took a while. If 40 or 50 players storm it later today, it will probably be finished within minutes.

No, the other side is normal overland PvE. I'd be more concerned about the writing since that was rather bland.

So... what's the answer to the OP's question?
It's still unclear to me based on your answers.

    I'll rephrase the question:
    1) Without completing the Solstice Main Quest, can you complete the event?
    2) Once the event is over, can you complete all the quests?

Yes, I completed the event without touching the solstice main quest.

Yes you can complete all the quests after the event is over.

The only thing time limited is the dungeonish event itself and the Wall Breaker title you get for completing it. The title is awarded directly for completion, it is not tied to any quest or achievement.

The dungeonish event is... the Fortress, of course !!! Hope I will complete it this evening, because yesterday evening it was broken...

Ugh...I dislike "Had to be There" rewards. Witnessing a one-time event is fine. But to tying rewards to it is dumb.

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.
