Does Ghishzor actually grant wall progress?

If not then I'm not sure why I should kill him more than once. No daily and same rewards as zerging down a camp.

It might be more fun if he just randomly dropped in on a siege camp periodically, Marauder Gothmau style.

I wondered this too. Like why is he spawning in Phase 2? There is no quest or direction to find him, and it feels almost accidental. I thought this was supposed to be a wandering world boss? Just another untethered static WB is not enough to make me care about the phases. Bad comms in-game.

Ghishzor also does not count for Zone completion. He has a symbol on the map but is not listed as a boss to be completed. The 3 Western Solstice bosses are listed and the 3 Eastern Solstice bosses are listed, but not this boss.

It has no quest, drops nothing of interest, and there's no lore on why it's suddenly there, either. How did it even arrive West of the camp when the Wall is on the East? Did it swim around the island?

ghishzor is actually counted as an "eastern solstice boss" in terms of achievements even though hes located in western solstice section (though technically with the full map its more like central solstice)

as far as i can tell, hes nothing more than a very tough WB (having around 24 million hp, and a insta kill wall mechanic)

Where? I don't see his name listed on map completion under Solstice World Bosses.

I see 7 world Boss Symbols on the map but only 6 World Bosses listed.

It's actually the boss of Zyv-Elehk Shrine in East Solstice. Not sure why it shows up at a second location in West Solstice during the event.

Why would they do that? It's just confusing. Just another reason to be done with this event.

And that makes me wonder, if it shows complete at the site in Western Solice why doesn't it also show complete at the site in Eastern Solstice?

Why do you guys even have this boss, while phase leaders don't?

If this boss was linked to a server reaching phase 2, then it should have appeared on the servers that reached that phase first regardless of platform.

I hope the same won't be the case for access to the next area or anything else linked to similar server races.

And if it wasn't linked to the pc servers reaching phase 2 then Zos should look at using better timing in future.

It appeared with update 48 which was last Monday for pc and will be on November 12 for consoles. It's a bad decision of course, since a fair competition would need the same conditions for everyone, including the same content being available.

Could it be that Ghishzor isn't actually the world boss for that spot, his symbol has the blue flames around it like Invaded Dungeon bosses, will he still be there when the event is over or will a different boss with significantly less health replace him?

They could of just had him as a wandering boss like they have in the Deadlands, West Weald and Galen.

It's also great that on day two there were no other players at Ghishzor, so you have no chance of even taking him down once... But oh well, he doesn't really have any function anyway and you don't get anything out of it, so doesn´t matter.

Hmh maybe, I was snooping around on a wiki to find the new wormcult furnishings and saw there was blacksmithing station. It mentioned that one of the leads from this station would drop at the "Zyv-Elehk Ritual Site world boss in Solstice" but I did not spot Ghiszor's name int eh discription which gives off the idea that actually another boss should be there (atleast I hope since I'm not looking forward to try to solo farm him with his insta kills ....)

Ghishzor is the world boss for that site. His name is in lorebooks related to it, and the achievement to kill him should mention the site too. But when he’s there he has half the health of his current event incarnation (just over 10mil instead of just over 20mil). This info is also on UESP.

Even 10 million is too much health for him to have in his regular World Boss position. He should have comparable HP to the other Solstice World Bosses. By comparison: Gaulm is 6.8 million: the Voskrona Trio are 3x 2.9 million: and Tidewash is barely over 3 million, but makes up for it with the sheer number of adds he keeps spawning.

In his "Writhing Wall Event Guest Appearance" position, where he's beefed up to the strength of a Trial boss, 20 million HP is okay... BUT... there should be some actual REASON to fight him, an actual quest that asks you to beat him at least once. Even if it's a Wall Event-related quest.

I posted in Zone chat for about 10 minutes to get a crew to show up. I am pretty good at guilt tripping the zone into showing up.

But, this is a boss I only want to do once. That insta kill wall can be blocked, sometimes.

I think he’ll get moved to the other side of the wall when it comes down.
