Festering Flesh boss in Deetra Grotto keeps resetting

We have tried to clear the place with a few folks today, and couldn't get this one down, because it kept resetting right in the middle of combat -- vanishes, then resets. It is not pulling too far or anything, we were right at its spawn point.
Happened about 10 times in a row before we gave up and moved on.

At first I thought I was moving to far away from the cente, but it also happened if I stuck right on top of the spawning point.
I can't finish Western Ssolstice like this, which I hoped to do before the coming event. Very frustrating.0
