Update 47 Oakensoul HA PvE Subclassing

Im running an Oakensoul Dark Elf heavy attack PvE MagSorc build. Currently I'm using Daedric Summoning, Storm Calling & Assassination. I know Assassination has been changed & not as good as Update 46. Is this skill line still used? Should I swap Daedric Summoning for the Grave Lord skill line? I only use Twilight Matriarch for the heals. I'm mostly a solo player.

Even though it's nerfed a bit, Assassination is still good. Hyperioxes uses it in his updated one bar Heavy Attack Sorcerer DPS build, which may give you some ideas.

Well, I wonder why heavy attack is used in DPS build (DPS means "damage per second"!), but anyway...

Any build depends on your play style and encounters (single/group, low/high HP, etc.), because "sum" of "gear+active skill + passive skills + companion + all other buffs" is near the same. And if you replace something, you will always have pros and cons. How good or bad it's for you depends only on your personal sense (aka "play style").
So try if you want, you can always return to your previous build (thank to Armory Station). Such attempt can make your playing even more interesting for you (or may be not  )

Honestly I've tried so many subclass combos with an oakensoul/HA sorc and found that a pure sorc works best for this. You're going to be way off the meta as a HA build using oakensoul anyways, but the build is so well rounded and solid it will get you through 95 to 98% of the content that we have.
