Luminous Shards or Blazing Spear?

I'm having a hard time choosing a morph here.
Luminous Shards is basically the same as Spear Shards, except the synergy is a bit stronger and restores magicka as well. I don't particularly care about that.
Blazing Spear deals more damage through a DoT and stuns instead of disorients, BUT the duration of the stun is 2s, compared to the 6s disorient of Spear/Luminous Shards.
While Blazing Spear is tempting, I really like Spear/Luminous Shards' medium duration disorient; particularly for PvP. So I'm torn.

I've since tried both morphs and IMO Blazing Spear is usually better. The DoT is weak but every tick can proc Burning Light, and in PvP you'd have Vampire's Bane on your target at all times so disorient is usually broken immediately. Unless you really like the improved synergy take Blazing Spear.0
