Possible bug with crown store item Snow Bear style

I bought the new style for the warden's bear. When I apply it, I get the glowing-eyed look of the eternal guardian bear. But I'm using the wild guardian morph, so I was expecting the bear with the tattoo. I don't have the same problem when I use the grey skin style. I get the proper look of the wild guardian.
I would have expected the styles to be consistent. Is the snow bear style working as intended, or is this a bug?
