Clockwork Spotlight Cycler - Preview Environment Lighting Too Bright

The preview enviroment lighting is too bright for the interactable furnishing “Clockwork Spotlight Cycler” inside “Furnishing Pack: Community Theatre”.

I can hardly make out the light patterns from the item, nor see the range / cone of light from it. This is a missed opportunity to showcase its unique features, and the same may be said for a good many Crown Store exclusive furnishings (eg Dragonclash Firepit, various Candleflies, etc).

Im sure that others have mentioned this in the past - may I suggest that ZOS work on adding a “dark mode” environment lighting, and a “zoom” option in previews for furnishing items, to showcase them better.

We do have the concept art image of how the light effects are supposed to look like, but concept art is just that - its not a demonstration of in-game performance.

    it would also be helpful if we could move furniture around in Preview Mode just like Preview Placement in the Housing Editor.

    the spotlight's light prints are easier to see when pointing it at the floor or a wall.

    A player (who wishes to stay anonymous) kindly sent me some screenshots of the light patterns thrown by the Cycler. Ive combined them for easy reference and comparison.

    It is clear that the current Preview doesn’t do this item justice.

    I assume the light intensity gradually fades over longer distances. As these full patterns can only be seen when the Cycler is in mid-air and beamed onto a wall, I additionally request for furnishing Previews to allow for Z-axis (vertical position) options with walls, or as suggested by @LunaFlora, to allow for custom Preview Placement in some 3D in-game environment (like the default empty tiled room).

    Alternatively, ZOS can consider doing marketing videos to showcase furnishing & cosmetics, this is common practice in many games - they are helpful in deciding on the value proposition (eg Standard vs Extra versions of games), and I am somewhat surprised that ESO doesn’t do this.

    (Please don’t say “you can just Google X for Y and watch a video on Z”, Previews should be basic features in-game.)
