(Note: I would have posted this in the Roleplay section of the forum, but it appears to be closed. The current writing below is based on the Lore Master's Archive below regarding aid from Cyrodiil. My character, Absentis Vesanus, is writing to Prince Azah after reading his request for aid in Solstice. The letter, may or may not have reached the Guild Master due to Worm Cult interference.

To Prince Azah,
Master of the Fighters Guild,
Receiving your letter was unexpected. It is not every day that one gets the chance to correspond with a leader of such a prestigious organization as the Fighters Guild. More surprising to read is that the combined might of the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild is requesting aid from Cyrodiil, the same two organizations I had the honor of fighting beside to save our world from the Planemeld. You have big boots to fill, Master Azah, your predecessor served honorably, and I was saddened to hear of his death at the hands of the Worm Cult remnants.
But I must ask you this, not out of disrespect, but out of clarity and understanding:
What is Solstice to Cyrodiil? What is that distant isle to the Heart of the Empire?
Cities like Chorrol, Bruma, and Cheydinhal lie in ruin after so many years. Alliance leaders speak of wanting peace, yet keep their warriors in Cyrodiil with empty promises of ending the war. Asking soldiers from the Heartland to pull away from their homeland to chase ghosts is an insult to all of us who call Cyrodiil home.
I understand the Worm Cult poses a threat. I fought against them so many years ago, and I witnessed the horrors of Coldharbour’s Dark Anchors. However, these reports of Soul Reapers? These weapons are nothing compared to the power the Worm Cult had in their possession a decade ago. What you are fighting is not a cult returning to glory - what is on Solstice is a dying group of fanatics, desperately grasping for relevance.
So in response to your request for aid, Guild Master Azah, I must decline to send my own men. We do not chase the idea of an Empire out there. We are what remains of it here, in the Heartland that you all abandoned.
I wish you and the entirety of the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and the Stirk Fellowship good luck in putting an end to the Worm Cult. I only wish you all showed the same dedication to that cause in helping to secure Cyrodiil.
May the Eight guide and protect us,
- Palatine Absentis Vesanus of the Violet Cohort
