Launcher takes a while to move from "Running" to "Play"

Not too long ago (last week, maybe?) when I started the launcher a small update to it downloaded. Since then, whenever I leave the game, it takes a long time for the launcher button to change from "Running" to "Play". It can also pretty much bung up my internet connection until it reverts to "Play", so that other things freeze up too - browser can't do anything, etc. I'm on Windows 11.
Most of the time the launcher eventually recognizes that I've quit the game, but sometimes I have to kill it manually. It was working fine before the update.

✭✭✭✭✭Same here on Windows 10 although I can access the browser while waiting 30 seconds for the launcher to close.0
