Neither, it's a bug that has been in the game for years.

As far I know there is no way to purposefully cause it, it just happens occasionally. Most commonly I see it with Streak, or Burning. The burning doesn't actually do any damage, but Streak does cause you to be unable to bash as it always breaks free.

Changing instance fixes it, so after the BG or leaving Cyro, i.e going into Cheesemongers Hollow.

I have gotten that but in pve content as well though it’s rare. I think it has to do something where the timer on status effect looses its mind and resets to the max value or something like that.

Not sure if this actually puts it on you or not (i.e is it a UI bug or does it impact you).

Either way go into a delve or cheesemonger and it will come off.

As far as I know that bug is only visual. It might be listed as lasting that long, but actually you are not debuffed at all.

Ugh. Cheating is a thing. There is no doubt. But you can't just jump to that conclusion because something happens you can't explain.

The reason I sound frustrated is actual cheaters LOVE posts like this because it pre-discredits everyone who may have a legitimate suspicion.
