I love that ZOS is trying to tame survey clutter with the Unidentified [Tradeskill] Survey Report envelopes, but the extra click-fest still feels a bit rough. Here’s a lightweight alternative that keeps most of the code they’ve already built, stays lore-appropriate, and lets us keep roaming Tamriel for mats:
The “Scribe Surveys” Action:
- Batch-scribe the stack - One click on “Scribe Surveys” consumes the entire pile of envelopes (say 50).
- Auto-combine into a single multi-charge Survey - The stack resolves into one [Tradeskill] Survey (50 charges) for a random zone.
- Travel & harvest once - Head to that zone and, with one interaction, receive a 50× haul.
Hopefully this will hit the sweet spot
- Zero extra clutter – Envelopes are gone the moment you scribe them.
- Still rewards exploration – You must visit the zone (I'mstill enjoying it) but only harvest once.
- Lore-friendly – We already use enchanted writ manifests; a quick-scribing quill that compiles survey notes into a single surveys is totally believable.
Cheers.
