The Unleashed Ritualist set

I heard this set got nerfed from a guildmate. So I'm here to see if anyone can tell me if the set still buffs the Warden Bear ultimate, the summon shade pet from NB Shadow skill line,
the Maw of the Infernal?

I'm pretty sure it still works on sorc pets.

Can anyone that knows please fill me in on this?

As far as I know, it does buff the skills you mentioned (as well as Blighted Blastbones and the Skeletal Mage), but it doesn't buff proc sets.

I haven't tested it myself, but even for a subclassed setup with mostly pets I believe it's worse than a more meta standard DPS set.

What set would you use to buff those skills?
And to be clear it wont buff Maw of the Infernal seeing how its a Proc set?

The set did not get nerfed - it actually got quite a substantial buff in terms of numbers, but is now less flexible since you have to front bar it.

The set used to have a 2-4 piece of straight Magicka, with a 5 pc of a debuff that made enemies take 16% more damage from pets.

Now, the set has much better 2-4 pc (weapon damage and crit chance) with a buff of 20% to your pet damage. This means that while you can no longer backbar the set, the set is more powerful in terms of raw strength.

It's also worth noting that this set is currently part of a large list of sets that bug your tooltips out (also including Oakfathers and Mora Scribe). This set is adding 20% damage to all of your tooltip values, but is only actually buffing Pets.

Yes, this set DOES buff some proc sets like Maw of the Infernal, but ZOS recently did a pass where they converted some of the "Pet Sets" into non-pet effects (like Mad Tinkerer for example). Ritualist used to buff everything from Maw to Mad Tinkerer to Scav Demise, but now you'd need to test yourself because the only one I'm pretty sure that it still buffs is Maw.

All that being said, the only reason you'd run this set is on a pure Blastbones/Blastbones Ulti build, because 20% just doesn't go very far with how low the damage on the rest of the pets are.

um…in solo ,order's wrath with any pen set still better
But if you run oaken ,you can give up trial set and run one bar Sorc meta set

I know it does not affect any animal skills in warden but the bear ultimate

I parsed over and over and over and over with this set, tweaking champion points, abilities, etc. I could not get my parse over 60k with this set. My conclusion is that the set needs a major buff to be viable in endgame content. Otherwise, it is just a fun "niche" set to play around with.

Sorry, I'll clarify that I parsed over and over and over with the set with my pure pet build (sorc, necro, and warden subclasses). I'm going to drop one of those skill lines and add in a different damage focused skill line to see if better passives will help, but I'm not expecting dramatic improvements.

I have had pretty good success with just the 2 sorc (lightning and pets) and necro gravelord. I’ve found that they really didn’t fix the ‘decouple the sorc from pets’ thing unless you play a heavy attack build, which is a shame it’s so limited compared to the other classes but the passives don’t have the damage that other classes do.

For PvE, pairing a medium Trial set such as Ansuul's Torment or Slivers of the Null Arca with the new crafted set Tide-Born Wildstalker would probably be slightly better. I tried it myself with two different pet setups and got a bit better results with Tide-Born than with Unleashed Ritualist at least.

With Daedric Summoning + Animal Companions + Grave Lord I did 134K DPS with Tide-Born vs. 130K DPS with Ritualist:

Edit: Improved the Shadow setup somewhat.

If you want to buff pets, I wouldn't use a pet set. I would use an overall powerful set and slot all the pet skills you want.

There aren't enough powerful sets that only buff pets and not your other attacks. But if you optimize your damage, your pets will be stronger than if you tried to use a pet-only build.

For example, the meta is high crit builds and sets that give you buffs, or have powerful procs. Using those will give you highest overall DPS as well as the highest pet damage. Compared to a set like Ritualist or Hunt Leader. Just because a set says "pet" in the description, doesn't mean it's the best option for your pet build.

As a compromise, I like to use one optimized set and one theme set. Then you're most likely to be effective with the unique flavor that you envision for your character.

It why ritualist so suck
Your cmx use ritualist ,but main pet dmg only better than tide 2k…(buff bb max hit 89k>91k
but tide can buff null arca 5k+ and your direct dmg type pet too
20% pet buff really too low than many proc
meta proc can do 8-12k…
And you give up many dps and try buff pet 8%(tide is 12%

Ritualist is a bad set. In the best conditions for it where you're running as many pets as possible it's almost as good as a crafted set.

A DLC dungeon set in optimal conditions is weaker than a crafted set

Don't bother with it. The game is full of these meme trap sets, which should be significantly stronger than they are since they are for niche builds only, but instead don't keep up with generic stat sets.

All the elemental damage sets (netch, silks of the sun, etc) are like this. Julianos is just better.

The most annoying thing about all of these sets is that it really is that easy to fix. 20% isn't enough. Make it 30%.
Netch's touch 400 spell damage isn't enough. Make it 800.
